If you're facing the front, I put mine to the right. I'll take a pic today to show how I mounted it.

Here is the DIY thread that I used to guide me:

I don't have any experience with either but I found a pic of a tC with a trans cooler here

keep in mind now.....the more fittings you have...the more possible leaks. i personally dont think we need an oil cooler. ive ran mine multiple times at the track and have only seen 220F......but when im driving on the interstate on a hot day....it also reads 220F. so i dont see it as a need. same thing with a turbo timer, the whole point is to let the oil cool before the car shuts off. youd have to run the turbo timer for 5 minutes to see any cooling effect.

Oil cooler is basically the same thing, except you need a sandwich plate to feed into and drain the cooler.

I'm running one from glowshift, I don't have a oil temp gauge, but I have noticed my oil does not get as black as fast as it used to, guessing its because it is running cooler. One thing I will recommend anybody using any oil/transs cooler is to use white thread lock(I think loctite has one) on all the fittings/threads, I installed at first without any and I saw leaks almost right away, haven't had any since adding the white thread lock.

Here are some pics of my set-up:

I used allot of zip-ties to make sure none of the hoses would be anywhere near any moving parts or debris, as far as mounting, the actual oil cooler has a bracket with 2 holes on each side top and bottom, I just used 4(2 on each upper side)6" or taller wood screws and drilled them into the that white crash foam sitting behind the bumper, ghetto I know but its done the job and believe it or not its very sturdy and secure, well hope that makes sense.

We run a 16 row SETRAB on our WORLD Racing Time Attack 2AZFE engine package. It's the black cooler under the drivers headlight with the DESCENDANT decal on it

That's what I was going to recommend, a SETRAB oil cooler. They are not expensive at all.
