Default Apexi Turbo Timer DIY

OK Since a few people have PM'd about the Apexi Turbo Timer(TT) install. I thought I would post a small DIY about the Apexi TT. Please keep in mind that this is just a guide to give you an idea of where the wires and such are located. It's not my fault if something goes wrong with your car.

This is a link for info on the Apexi TT

http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_ele...=198&pageNum=1

This is a link for the install manual for the Apexi TT

http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdf/product...tation/198.pdf

Some of my pics are alittle blurry so please bare with me.

First things first. Remove the shroud around the IGN. harness.

The next thing I did was mount my TT "brain" box.

Its the small black box wire multi color wires coming out of it. I mounted it on the inside of my center console. Just left of the shifter.

Ok now its time to wire it up. First thing I did was connect all the wires needed to the IGN. harness. The ignition harness is located under the plastic shroud which we removed earilier. The thick BLUE wire from the TT harness connects to the thin yellow wire" 2nd IGNITION +". The thick GREEN wire fromt the TT harness connects to the Thick BLUE wire"IGNITION +" wire on the IGN harness.

Next thing I did was hook up the 12v power wire to a circuit in my fuse bax using a Add-a-circuit which can be found at any auto parts store.

This is a Add-A-Circuit

The RED wire on the TT harness is your power wire. Again sorry about the blurry pic

Once thats connected your should find a good grounding point for the TT's ground wire(BLACK wire). Connect it to a clean solid metal surface. Sorry no pic.

Next connect your E-brake wire(GREY wire)

^^ I have mine wrapped in electric tape but this wire just taps right into the Black wire coming out of the front of your E-brake.

The White wire from the TT is not to be used on the tC. So just cap it off so none of the wire is exposed.

Ok so the only thing left should be to find a place to mount the Control box. This is where I mounted mine just to give you an idea.

I hope this helps anyone with the Apexi TT out. I'm not sure about other TT's since this is the only on I've installed but I'm sure it's along these lines. Please let me know if I missed anything or forgot to post a important part. I installed my TT about 4 months ago so this was all just memories.

Here is a wire guide for the Igniton harness from ProshopXB

Like your car alarm goes off? If so which kind of alarm do you have? If your turning off the car and the car is still running then the TT sounds like its installed right. Alarms and TT's can be tricky to make work together.
