can you post the aem dryfilter part number for the s/c? i called the guys at aem and they had no idea which one we needed. I tried to reverse "decipher" their p/n's by using the 1999-04 solara as the "target" vehicle since this corresponds to the trd filter p/n. My concern is with oil contaminating the MAF. not likely with the carbon filter in place, but i would like to remove the carbon element.
thanks

oh sorry chinito. i didn't specify up there. i used a aem cone dryfilter with a modified e-bay intake tube. i tested it on a 5 gas analyzer and it was pretty close in a/f ratio to stock.

I ran a K&N reusable filter for around 6000 miles with no issues. Made to fit a Camry model, don't remember which. I actually found it fit better than the paper one supplied with the SC kit by not popping off the top of the filter box. I'm selling it now in the Classifieds, link in my sig.

I just dropped the reusable K&N filter in my S/C tC, I was wondering if anybody has had any issues with it? if anybody has it with an A/F gauge, can you please let me know if you're running good numbers? thank you.

I put in a drop-in K&N filter at the beginning of the year and cleaned/oiled it last month. My AEM UEGO reads the same as before I installed the K&N filter.
I know some people had problems with oil coating the MAF sensor. A simple cleaning fixed their issues. I wish that AEM made a reuseable drop-in dry filter for our cars though.
