Ya I dont think I am really too worried about the high stall coverter. I think I may do the cluth pack and call it done. I would like to do it my self and I dont know how hard it would be but I think if I take my time im sure I could do it myself.
If I do it dont worry guys I would take lots of pics for ya's!!!

But like I said I would like to go WOT throgh all the gears.

I'm a bossted auto as well. running 9-10 ounds of boost and making 266 to the wheels. Though i am having tranny problems cause i cant get out of 3rd gear. What all mods have u done to the tranny or should i say what do they have to beef it up with out going into a manual swap?

As of now I have a tranny cooler, valve body upgrade and royal purple Max ATF.
There are some other things you can do to "Beef" up the trans. You could upgrade the clutch packs, Up grade the tourqe converter and I think they sometimes mess with the pumps in the tranny to mess with the fluid pressure inside.

Ya I wonder that also YELOSUB that would be interesting to see.

XIEmperorIX The traction at WOT isnt bad there is alittle bit of tire break but once it takes off its not a problem at all.

if you upgrade the clutch packs I would imagine it would probably shift a little better no? either way sounds good...i've been debating going boost on and off since i pretty much bought the car back in 06 lol

my main concern is traction and reliability on long trips (i.e. from so cal to the denver colorado area) but I imagine if I just cruise and stay out of boost I would be fine but once I figure where my reliability lies at I may go this route..

I'm not looking to make HUGE numbers so in the very end maybe something around where you currently stand power wise.

Probably go with a Dezod S1 kit starting at 5psi then upping that once I build the trans..we shall wait and see

BTW any input you have on any of the things I'm wondering about would be great :D

XIEmperorIX
Ya I think I may be upgrading the clutch pack in the winter. And I have been thinking the same thing that by doing that it should stop all the shifting problems for good.
As long as you get a good kit like the Dezod one you are getting your car should be just as reliable as it is now. If your not looking at making huge numbers your trans should be fine anyways.
Everything sounds good but if I was to do it again I would mabey stay away from the AEM FIC and go with the greddy ultimate. I had some problems in the begining with the FIC but they are not to bad anymore. If you go with the greddy I think you will be much better in the long run.
Other than that with the dezod kit you wont have any problems with the Dezod kit.
