well.. i look forward to seeing if the alphawerks/ supercharger problem seems to be a problem on automatics... i think it is because they sit so close (thus the heat soaking i would assume), so be sure to keep this thread as one of the most POPULAR for a while...

yea the heat soak would not be different because your in an auto or manual.... the differences don't have any changes in that area.
but i i am wrong feel free to correct me, but honestley I dont see why there would be a difference.

and also, seeing as they went through the trouble to make an entirely new heat sheild, i am surprised people are not getting TRD's point on the header causing a problem.
Thats a big change in my views on TRD's ground about the heat.

my suggestions only!:
jethot, wrap AND fab a heat shield on that byotch
but dont do the pulley until way later, if we are going to see what is actually causing the problems (header or pulley) we need a few people to do just one of the mods and run that until after the warrenty period, and then go from there, maybe the combination is whats causing troubles. but then there are the people who have no problems whatsoever......

^^ i agree. but the only reason why they made a new heat shield was because of fitment issues. the shaft would have been rubbing against the stock heat shield.

currently, my plan doesnt include a pulley..not in the near future at least. after the header is wrapped, and possible fab the heat shield, mayb that water to air intercooler if all goes well for kytc. either the intercooler, or greddy ultimate.

I know, but if heat wasn't a problem, like some have almost tried to say, they would have just nixed the shield all together instead of making a new one

you can watch this to pass some time.

oh, i guess I forgot to mention,
we were not racing
the guy with the camera is my brother he has a 92 integra with that loud ___ exhaust you hear and a CAI, and the rest is aged to unperfection.

I was tired of not knowing what my car looks like driving so when I got home he was "steam cleaning" the inside of his engine
and I got him to get my camera and film my car while we drove past each other randomly to get plenty of footage for me to look over.

but as you can probably see that that stretch of road behind my house is a popular spot for some street racing, its like a 2 mile stretch of straight road with that stop sign on one end and a light on the other.

oh and what he ran over were some ghetto "ramps" that someone put up to help them get over the curb that is there so they can get to that peice of their property, he got way to close to the curb and hit it
that land right there is zoned as agriculture so its just grass fields and a field for people to play with their remote controlled airplanes and helicopters and cars/trucks, whatever

though it looked bad, his car is fine.
and if something does break on the car he is more than capable of fixing it himself.

hurry up man....we all want to see your numbers. If they are good, maybe we will sell a few more kits in H-Town(then you won't be the only one).

Going for Dyno on ours probably next Thursday. I may try to find one closer to the house though. Bissonnett is a long ride away and I don't want the thing cooking before i get there.

I gues SPG will be my best bet. I live about 5 miles form the dealership. They are at Veterans Mem and 1960 right?

I guess I can go to get it Dynoed and just stop for breakfast somewhere and let it sit and cool before I get the dyno.
