raise your goal _____. you've seen me go against all odds with rsx auto, and i'm barely getting started.

i wouldnt consider john's "low" number depressing. its a motivator :D. i'm sure its possible to see 40hp gain with everything stock, thats in the best of conditions. every car is different, and so is every dyno. 10hp away from your goal is NOTHING. its the basic margin of error on all dynos. would it be better if he had 175whp?? a mere 5hp, and a mere 10hp. not a big deal,

This setup is running off a TRD CONSERVATIVE reflash. and his header is straying away from what the reflash was made for, stock header/cat.

now i wonder if 18's affect dyno numbers. lol, but the main thing that concerns me is why all spiking. could be detonation, lean spikes, and wat not. it could be possible its from the header.

Aftermarket header (esp since it eliminated the cat) leans system out, leaning=bad for power, esp on a boosted motor. i wouldnt be surprised if after tuning alone, he'll have 185-190whp.

Granted the manual guys still got better numbers w/ reflash + boltons, but their reflash is still different from the autos. (and the tranny power loss). but 170whp is pretty much 200hp to crank.

In ANY boost setup, everyone is gona tell u, "ITS ALL IN THE TUNE!".

man o5 you are taking this hella hard. You had a boosted car dynoed on a 104 degree day with 33% humidity! Your number is going to be low. Try it again on a day that that is maybe hi 70's low 80's i think you will be much happier, boosted cars hate heat! My car runs slow on these 112 deg days as opposed to a 72 deg day,and your running 18's. I think that dyno is bogus anyways with the tq loss between runs and you said the guy didn't know what he was doing. Did he have a fan blowing on the car? what speed? Cool down time? How long did he let it warm up? those are all variables that can add up against you.

^^yeh thats all true. but in houston, thats the kind of conditions you will see for half the year lol. the guy did a total of 6 runs. the first 5 ALL back to back. prolly a 1 minute cooling time in betwwen. the 6th run he let it cool for mayb 5 minutes which i doubt did anything. fans were blowing. and yeh i was taking it pretty hard but im better now

hahaha... i agree... i am not REALLY bummed as i find the results flawed... is there a chance at a 2nd try, seeing as there are multiple factors that could contribute to non-100% accuracy?

Is this accurate:

Manual tC: 143 whp
Supercharged Manual tC: 200+ whp
Gain: 50+ whp

Auto tC: 127 whp
Supercharged Auto tC: 160+ whp
Gain: 30+whp

Both are stock other than the Supercharger.

Here is zoltiz's dyno:

His car is basically stock with a DIY short ram after the install dyno. I'm not really sure, but his car can put 200+ whp without any other mods. That is pretty impressive.

Yea...I really hope the heat has something to do with the dyno results of 05-RS1 cause I would really like to get the Supercharger. Just not for the power that you get if the dyno results are accurate.

you almost can't compare the two.......two different dyno's. two different car's with totally different set ups in two different parts of the country. Altitude changes, temp, different wheels. different dyno mfg's. There is no comparisson. At best this is a very rough GUESS as to what each package can offer.

This is from a Auto Stock Supercharger? Thats more than the manual puts out. So like the person above me stated, it shows that dynos are ALL different.

^^im 99% sure thats a manual s/c. esp if that dyno has been floating around for a while. as far as this forum goes, i was the first to post dyno numbers for the auto s/c.
