What did they need the oem parts for? I thought everything was provided with the S/C kit.

they do.
the bottom part of the stock airbox is what they need,
that bottom section and the snorkel thingy.
everything else is new from the filter on.

i beleive that is it....

It's the top part of the oem airbox, the new bottom has TRD imprinted in it. ALWAYS get all of your parts back from anywhere. You never know when you might need them.

yeah i learned that the hard way, when i got my short ram put in... i will have to buy a WHOLE new airbox when i get my supercharger installed... unless somebody FINALLY comes out with a supercharger cold air intake that does not require a smaller battery

aw the bottom half is it then, I knew it was at least one of the halfs that they needed.

SkaTG2k3, you needed a shop to put in a short ram intake?!?!
jp

but yea, i have ALL my stock peices that I have changed out and dont plan on selling any of them.

and if you plan on wanting to keep the warenty as hassle free as possible then changing out the stock airbox is not something you would want to do. doesn't the supercharger warenty say that if you change anything on it it will void the warenty.... even if it didn't cause a problem..... i need to go through it again.....

hahahaha... they were putting on the full exhaust i was talking about b4 (i don't have any friends with lifts) and they offered to put it on cuz it take 5 mins...

... i was waiting until somebody grilled me for that right after it typed it...

on another note, may I add to this thread that WARRENTY voids must be PROVED by the dealer that the part you installed caused a problem. It would be one hell of a lawyer to prve that putting cold air in an engine caused a supercharger to blow. A higher PSI pulley is one thing, but my headers and an intake would be one HELLUVA fight

im confused as to what he is trying to say.

also, i know about the warrenty voiding thing but what i am saing is this:
and i remember reading on the superchargers warrenty and in it say that if you change anything on it that you will be voiding your warrenty, or something to that effect.
have not cared about it enough yet to want to go searching again and posting some kind of proof somehow.
i cant find the warrenty pdf anymore as well.

i think either tongman or gjprj..then whenever i get enough money to go in for tuning, i'd get my other baseline dyno along with numbers with the tune.
