well... you dont NEED the ecu but you will need something better than the emanageblue.... id say something like aem fic

Trans cooler even on 5 psi. Nothing special needed, B&M Supercooler will do the job fine.

Don't rely on a street tune for 9 psi, get it tuned on a dyno at a shop that knows your ECM. I bought a spare auto trans. already for my xB and plan on getting it built up a bit. Might just swap the valve body, it can be done with the transmission installed, at least on the 1gen xB.
How does IPT compare to Level10?

IPT is better than Lvl10... If you don't believe me ask SoFloTC and anyone else who has got stuff form them (my valve body was broken from them).
You don't need the ECU like cburglb34 said. But even the APEXI is better than the emanage blue. You can get a used FIC with harness for like 400 bucks. I'll sell you mine once I get the Dezod ecu
