Default Bad news :-\

yooo wats good everyone....so i was coming to the finally stage of my car....with the nitrous...so i had my car dropped off....few days later i get a call....some bad news....on the dyno tune with the nitrous....my sleeve melted on cylinder 4 ....i had a picture of it....i need 2 upload it, but yea....he doenst think it was because of the nitrous, becuase he said that before he even sprayed the **** just blew.....he thinks the injector failed which cause it to melt, but watever...bottom line im gonna have to spend money again to get my car back up and running :-( after all that money spent 2 get it there

Well at least now you might as well build the motor, just curious, how big of shot were you gonna squeeze?

yup lol.. now the sleeve melted before nitrous, maybe a bad tune caused it or too much boost or power for stock component?

the nitrous isnt wat caused it to melt, 1 of the injectors fail...and its just melted...yes my motor was built....thats y im ____ed, but its all good, these time im gonna due a few extra things...i was running, 15/16 pounds and then i was putting on a 50 shot of nitrous but he didnt even get to spray the nitrous before the ____ blew....so i know it wasnt the nitrous that cause it

yeah i would make sure that its actually the injectors fault and not the tuner trying to cover his butt

Sucks to hear it man.

Whether it was the tuners fault or not, most dyno/tuner places have rules that state all work is done at your own risk.

Hope it all works out for you. Get that beast up and runnig!!

Wow, I thought a sleeve was supposed to make it bullet proof. That's pretty scary that an injector can fail and do that much damage. Sorry to here this, that would be the breaking point for me.

yea me too. I would do some research because it could be your tuners fault.

how nice..... i'm willing to bet that "tuner" is lying. injectors just don't fail(well crappy ones can) and they usually fail open.

here is another thing. if the injector totally locked up, this means no fuel, no fuel no fire,, your cylinder turns into an air pump.

your tuner should be watching the AFR'S on the dyno at all times, as soon as it started going lean, get out of it.

i would ask for my injectors back and send them off to be flow tested....

it wasnt my tunners, fault and i did do research on it...but i know this guy for over 2 years now, i trust him, we became good friends over the last 2 years....i dont think he hes gonna bull____ me now, plus the nitrous tank is completely full, and part of the manifold crack...that was due to heat, i dont think...nitrous is going to make things hot, lol..and when i get the pictures up u can see....if u look at the 4 piston....the 4th one is clean, there is no fuel in there at all...compared to the other 3 because it went lean...im pretty sure it was the injector
