Good Luck. Try to fight it but honestly I don't think it will be hard to prove once the engine is disassembled. After they prove it then they will make you pay for the work they have done this far. Racing and shifting trying to shift into 4th hitting 2nd will seriously over speed the engine and valve train even for a brief second the marks and damage left will easily be shown.

Ive already had a dealer look at my car and tell me that its not under warranty. Anyway im just going to do it myself because it wont cost me that much money. As far as ive seen i only need to replace some valves. no piston work needs to be done. but im just going to replace the head and keep my old one to build it up that way i can run f/i

make sure you look at the top of your pistons to make sure they didnt hit your valves.

brother was a master tech at fitzgerald toyota....dealerships dont usually do tear downs when a motor poops out...they just replace... and unless he tells them that he over revved his car, his warranty is still in effect cause u cant blame it on his mods, last but not least...dont race and u wont have these problems

simple solution would be to go to another dealer and DONT tell them u over revved, if they still say warranty is void for your mods, take it to corporate...they will make the dealer ship repair it...so call and email corparate

That isn't considered normal engine failure and I think they can tell from the ECU how high the engine was reved when the damage occured so you will not be covered by the warrenty. If they don't figure it out before they do the work they will later and could come back for the cost of the repair. You may want to check your timing chain and cam timing but you probably have some bent valve heads or damaged retainers and maybe some cam damage too.

everyone knows they by law cant check the ecu unless u give consent via signature or if needed by law inforcement...read the owners manual.....

and how is it not normal engine damage...yea he caused it but some engine doe bend valves without abuse...he happend to do it himself but yea...

kid just go to another dealer and then to coporate u will win

Never heard of that before - in RI they read the ECU to give you the inspection sticker.
