you must be related to forpinks or silver baron...or snarcher...

listen dude, it is not that simple, you don't just throw a turbo under the hood and call it a day and go race an evo, sti or whatever.

even with a turbo, you can only really hope to just walk away from one of those cars from a roll.

look, you can get almost any stage 1 turbo kit and the neccessary peripheral gear and have everything properly installed and tuned and beat an evo, sti, or civic, but they can just as easily put more into their rides and kick your @$$, with the exception of the civics.

do a search. all you need to to to hang or walk away from an evo, sti or 350z is a stage 1 kit, stronger clutch, colder spark plugs and properly tuned and installed. you'll make between 250 to 300 whp around 8 to 10 psi.

there are lots of kits, greddy, dezod, zpi, treadstone, turbo toyotas etc. do a search for all those kits, see what you like and don't like, i've posted alot about each of these kits.

also, while i have no problem helping a noob learn how to modify his car. i and many other HATE it when people ask immature naive questions like "what is the best turbo" "how much boost do i need to kill an evo" etc.

also, with a turbo, you have only straightline performance. do suspension. best investment i've made so far.

well even if there is, even after you have this "godly turbo" you still have to be able to drive well.

Please research a little bit before you ask a question like this.

I am of course biased towards Dezod because I work for Paul, but there's different things offered with different kits. Read up on the forums for a while, and when you feel ready or have it narrowed down to a couple, call the company and make sure it's the right investment for you.

There's a LOT of variables on the market. Choose wisely.

Although Dezod does make a great product. There are plenty of other kits out there as well, such as, ZPI, TurboToyota's, Greddy, Treadstone... just to name a few

what do you mean "better kit"...

Easy install? quick spool? top-end? no trimming of anything?

well for a daily driver you want to race evos and stis? you would want over 300whp in my opinion but as a daily driver thats a lotta whp. it would be great to run evos and stis but i want the reliablity so when i do turbo i want around 240 but want the option to turn it up if ever needed. you also have daily drivers with over 300whp and no probs but its all about piece of mind and i want my car to last me another 4-6yrs. but between the turbotoyotas(why ind.) or sp go turbo toyotas they are always on the forum with good info just search and you will find good numbers and good things about there kits plus the turbo toyotas kit has a beatiful manifold and you can eaily piece parts from dezod together to get a great setup like a few other members have. sp i have only heard a few people having kits but thats it nothin special about the kit and i dont like the fact about buying a kit from someone who really has no presence in the SL community. my preferences lay with dezod or turbotoyotas because of presence and on SL and build quality and not hearing anything bad on these kits plus they can make power from 220whp gto 300whp or more if you have the rigth stuff and a good tune. for you not knowing much about turbos it seems a treadstone kit wouldnt be bad either this one is also on my list of psossibilties but the whole bumper cutting is not my thing and with dezod and turbo toyotas you dotn have to cut the bumper or crashbar as in the treadstone.

hope this helps just my opinion but next time read some posts and search then ask questions cause it really seems like you didnt do your homework.

im kinda a newb myself but i have read alot of posts and search before asking and if you did read you wouldve seen thats these posts are happening all the time and its completely unessecary if you search. nothin personal losmate just some advice. and good luck in watever turbo you do get.

Do you just need the kit?

Do you need Engine Management still?

Do you need Turbo Back Exhaust still?

Tires?

What do you have, i'll be able to guide you in the right direction

Well that cuts dow you're choices.. Zpi stage 0 and the treadstone kit are both in that range.. Treadstone comes with intercooler and injectors I think.. Zpi is a grand cheaper.. Both are good kits.. Zpi gets you 230whp at 6 psi.. Treadstone is like 250 at 7 psi.. Both don't have fuel management..

this is not true about racing 350's, stis and evo's. from a stop yes they are gonna stomp you. from a roll a stage 1 is fine. i run a 300whp daily driver with no issues. even on the 20's i stomp sti's, 350z's, g35's. these cars are not that fast. they arent bad, but not that fast. now an sti with a few things done will obviously win, but not factory. 300hp factory, but thats definitely no to the wheels. they are seeing maybe 240 to the wheels.
