Hey sadistic, with enough of a push, can you get a subpoena to get the transaction records and surveilance video at the various western union branches? Or is it too early to get something like that?
#122
and no i wouldn't give myself a ticket. if did turbo my car, i would then not drive it on the street. not because it's illegal but because i don't want some drunk yahoo pulling up to me and trying to race me. i know first hand what can result of that.

that's what i'm trying to do, but there could be a chance that where he picked it up, that he used a fake i.d. and if he was smart he probably went some place with no camera's. but we will find out soon enough.

thanks to kaotic1!
turns out this guy DID use an actual aol account to send him correspondence. could potentially be a hack, but if both the user's AOL acct and EBAY acct were hacked by the same person, it would still lead directly to the perp.
If just the ebay were hacked, it could have been done remotely (phishing, brute force, etc)
with both involved, it's either the actual person with both accounts (possible), or someone who had physical access to the owner's computer.

^^^ contact AOL, the sender's IP was 64.12.137.3
becasue AOL uses dynamic IPs, it's very difficult to get a location on these. AOL, however, knows where that IP is assigned, but they don't publish the information.

I did a traceroute on that IP address. Unfortunately that IP leads to AOL. The sender sent it from his house to aol then from aol to the person receiving it.

well, i am starting to lead that way as well, but as i mentioned earlier, if both the ebay and the AOL got hacked, it was by a person with physical access to the real account owner, which would make it exponentially easier to uncover.
