He must have been stock with a boost leak, fully heatsoaked and couldn't drive, or was feathering throttle for whatever reason.
Your car is pushing ~145whp, his is 210+. Even with a mis-shift he would've overtaken you well before your car hit 100mph.

I just raced an SRT-4 an hour ago... I'm stock!
OK, I'm at 55 zone and there's not much people (me, 5 Harleys and the black SRT-4.) So, I got close to him and revved the "Camry"
, we got to the light and I turned my AC and stereo off and he asked me if he can race teh "Camry", I said sure! I had no detectors...1.) Obviously, this kid (that does not deserve to be called a man) did not know how to drive, you said so yourself. He missed a billion shifts!
2.) The kid obviously had no idea what he was doing... With an SRt4, you almost NEVER race from dig, unless you know exactly what you are doing (which he clearly did not) The srt4's most crucial and pivotal moment is during launch (from 0), and it's not because it lacks torque (duh!), but due to motor-mount issues, some differential things, and the infamous and deadly "wheel hopping"_
IMO, the boy (he's been demoted from kid as you can see) just bought his used srt4, and figured he'd take you on in your "Camry" (which by he way, there is nothing wrong a Camry- so do not be offended)- I think it's waaaay more offensive to call an SRT4 a Neon (which it really is), than to call a TC a Camry (which it's not)
All in all... I dont mean to burst you bubble, but this will not happen again.
And the ONLY reason i'm being kinda harsh is because you're stock...
Like,.. if you would've at least tried to mod it some, I would've been a little more supportive on your side because ... i mean,... shyt, you're trying_ but you're not!
AND THIS ISN'T THE "SRT4 COCKBAG" IN ME TALKING! I would've said the same thing to you even if I still had my TC_

The guy driving the SRT-4 is 17-22 yrs old, He badly launched like a mad mustang driver on crack, he spinned 2nd gear badly and I couldn't believe he grinded 3rd twice and has to clutch twice to do it! (I don't know how the hell he could've possibly missed 3rd twice!)
Maybe he's almost out of clutch fluid or maybe because he grinded too much and his trans is almost dead or maybe he really just sucks at driving!
(I should have raced him for the SRT-4s bank title, he doesn't deserve it!)
