Default BLOWN SUPERCHARGER Video/sound clip inside

As most know I am on the third supercharger.

A bunch of people asked for a sound clip so here you go. I luckily had it covered under warranty, lets see how long it can last.

dude thats a squeaky belt not a blown blower. That other guy who had the hella high pitched noise, his was blown, yours not so much. That noise from the compressor side is normal.

Get rid of that squeaky belt and get back to me with a new video. Like I said it sounds fine. Here is a link to mine running. Sounds very very similar if you ask me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI3lpwSj3rA

There is ZERO squeaky belt. And yes it is blown, they already took it off and put a new one on it. The bearings were absolutely toasted, metal shavings and packed crap in there.

I dont know why it sounds like a belt but dont you also hear the clickity clacking?

This clip is of my second charger. No mods, no autocross, no drag strip and only 2000 miles.

My third only has about 5o miles on it. hopefully it lasts!!!

Sounds exactly like my '07 s/c at idle.
Might want to get it checked then. That video is the same day I took it in for warranty work, and toyota and trd determined from the sound it was blown. When they took it off the bearings were destryoed/grinded/broken and what not.

nope, I have pictures of the first one, but not the second one. Only thing on the second I have is sound clips and pictures of the intake tubing filled with oil.

i agree with kik, mine sounds pretty much the same..it's always sounded like that even when it was just installed. the chirping noise got louder once i put on my 12psi pulley. there are no leaks or anything and it runs as strong as ever. maybe the vid didnt catch whatever noise it is your talking about?

believe me, when i first heard all the noises it made, i wished it was broken . but really thats how it's always been for me. the master tech who installed 3 previous s/c's for tc's before mine reassured me and it's been he whom i've been going to to get all my pulley related installs done and everything's been running perfectly. but sorry to hear you dont have similar luck with yours

Buy a rebuild kit from me for your blower and you wont have to deal with the crappy bearings from vortech that keep failing.
