Default Been outta the loop awhile...

So its been a while since I've done some researching in the turbo department, so i have some questions.
I have an auto tc...yeah i know...anyways I'm looking at getting a Greddy kit. How are these kits? and how do they fit the auto?

Also-Emanage Ultimate or AEM F/IC?

Thanks.

Well there is a thread on turboing autos in the stickied section of Forced induction. The greddy kit i think is a nice complete kit. Toan the tuner from P-tuning said it makes good power. I dont know on fitment for an auto but i would think it wouldnt be a problem.

As far as ultimate or Fic I think both have there advantages (dotn ask me to name them). i would say FIC for you though. It will meet your needs.

I merged both your threads since there was no need to have 2 basically on the same topic.

2nd

And since they were different ?s, i Made two diff ones...
Clearly i am blind about the fitment, as it was in the first post...

My main reasoning is what I am looking at is a Greddy Kit with Ultimate and a possible pretune. Didn't know if this was sufficient or if i should sell it and go for a FIC.

You will need a new tune. the pre-tune is to get you to the tuners. The ultimate will work if you get it.

got it for 2200. That everything minus a PNP harness.

Not bad in my book.

Side note: How many people here have tuned a kit themselves? I have a bad feeling I'm going to get stuck tuning it on my own, since I live in BFE, and I need some advice on several little things. I've delved in the world of tuning before, but that was with a carburetor, just a tad different...

about what number miles should someone start to worry about their engine going kaput when boosted? i mean like a completely stock block... say they were running 10psi would the motor last until 120k+ without being built? or would they need to build the motor after about 80k miles so that they can boost safely

10 psi is a good bit of boost for our car. I'm hoping my set-up will make it to 150k, and hopefully i'll be out of college then, and have a good enough job to get another car and play with this one...
