Default BOOST PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!

So finally after having my kit for 2 years i put it on last weekend and yesterday when i went to go get tuned at ums tuning mesa az. I have the greddy kit btw 440rc injectors 2.25" catback and 2.5" invidia s pipe dezod vacuum block greddy type rs bov. so when they were doing power pulls it goes up to 7psi then drops to 5psi? and it only made 206whp at 5psi and 226ibs trq. I told my tuner that somethings greddy and that the greddy kit is set to 8.5psi from the factory. and he keeps saying that its not. does anyone know what do problem is and what i need to do?
i do have ebc greddy profec b spec 2 just not hooked up yet.
please let me know your inputs

check for boost leaks.. and what wastegate spring? something is wrong, boost shouldnt drop with boost level that low.. unless you were in really high boost and the turbo couldnt make anymore boost consistently that would be acceptable

it will help greatly...but its an internal wastegate huh? may have something to do with that. just some oddball factory flaw thats perhaps making the gate stick. just a thought. UMS is a great shop, nothing but good iv heard about them so far.

wish ya the best of luck

to see if its an exhaust restriction you could disconnect the downpipe from the s-pipe and run it open (just dont let exhaust drag though). see if boost is more consistant.

to me it feels like it is because I am still in vacuum and I release throttle and the bov blows off? Explain how that could be the problem thanks

If you are having issues with holding boost and using and internal wastegate you may want to check the condition of the turbo exhaust housing. It is possible that the housing may be cracked. Mitsubishi turbos are known for this over time the wastegate ports erode and then extra exhaust flow is diverted away from the exhaust wheel. This will limit the max boost you make and slow spool down only slightly.

According to turbo-kits.com (http://www.turbo-kits.com/tC_turbo_kits.html) the Greddy street turbo kit is only 5.6 PSI. I think UMS might have been right and you will need a boost controller of some kind to boost higher. It is normal for an internal gate to spike and then fall to its set psi.

If I had some time I would not mind trying to help. Where in Phoenix are you??
