you need to be able to cut fuel and spark, keeping them about 200 rpm apart. as far as i know you can only cut spark with the emu.

Yes you need more control over it than what the emanage ultimate offers. Free rev works fairly well and will only get better with more time.

I will be working on the traction. If I can get 3rd to hook the car will be deep in the 11s and I will be getting closer to a 130 trap. We will see next time.. I will be going back mid June

im knida thinking that the revs flying up has more to do with something in the drivetrain failing than not having any traction. i run the same slicks @ 9 psi and they hook just fine. also, art was running high 9's with high 140 mph traps with the same slicks. this is why im leaning more towards a clutch/drivetrain problem, which would also explain the strange new noises coming from the trans. also, how long are you doing your burnouts for?

The drivetrain wasnt failing it was just noisy .. imagine if both of your brake dust shields were rubbing on the rotor - thats what it sounds like. It only makes the noise after i put power through it.. After it cools down and I cruise it doesnt make the noise. It drove like normal - was just noisy. I dont think it would be trapping 124 back to back with a busted drivetrain.

The slicks look old & nasty to say the least - i think a new set will get me some better traction

Decent 2nd gear burnouts .. nothing crazy.

weird. im not there, so i cant know for sure what the problem is. how old are the slicks? mine are about 4 years old now, look like crap, and function just fine. the trans shouldn't be making noise at all, especially if it made none before. also, i was trapping 126 back to back with a failing drivetrain (diff), and running out of revs, so it can be done.

like i said im not there so i cant really be sure whats going on. im just guessing based on my experiences. can you take some pics of those slicks?

How was your traction for the above mentioned runs.

I will once I get the right one off (thx ichiba wheel studs)

I left my slicks in the garage over the winter. I am thinking this had a negative effect on the rubber.

You have an oem diff/oem suspension right? Are you spinning in 1st or 2nd?
You have the toyo proxes?

like i said man, im just guessing. im not saying that im absolutely right and thats just how it is. im just trying to weigh in with my $.02. so, just take it for what its worth and mull it over before you start buying new slicks when the problem may lie elsewhere.

I appreciate your input for sure.

I made 5 or 6 passes. The transmission started getting more noisy after the 4th pass. My traction and speeds were pretty consistent throughout the day. Its odd that i have absolutely no traction in 3rd with such a big tire.

You have a similar setup so information from you is very helpful

It sounded to me as if you were slipping clutch, but without being the driver i would not have a clue.. Im sure you will figure it out..

Good job!

When my CC clutch was slipping, i was seeing it in lower gears.. I always presumed once the car was already moving at a certain speed, it was less stress on the clutch. Again not sure.. but thats what i had seen. When slicks are spinning, you can hear and feel it for sure..

Maybe you posted it already but what size of slick are you on?

25x9x15

its odd that the clutch would grab for the burnout - grab for the launch - spin 1st, 2nd, 3rd and grab for 4th. pedal feel did not change. no clutch smell.

I believe the clutch to be fine.

1-3 felt like street tires

Im going to get another transmission and new slicks and go back
