How many miles do you guys have on your SC's? I beat on mine pretty hard sometimes and havn't had any engine problems other than a leaky radiator cap and the cheap ___ job they did on the exhaust heat shield below the SC. BTW I've got about 10k or so on mine.

I'm one of the guys who also warped a seal without an after market header, went all out this time around. Thing really don't look good. I've had plans for going turbo since before I had any problems with the blower. Demand is going to continue to drop for these, I'm never going to be able to sell this thing when the time comes.

And the worse part is TRD isn't really doing anything about these problems, not like these are rare isolated cases. How about a recall

^^You would think that all that time in Development, and all the delays, that they would have had ample time for not only development, but product Testing.

You know that even when the tC was first introduced it was anounced that it would come with a dealer installed SC option. There must of been a huge amount of pressure on TRD to release the blower ASAP-I mean the blower was released late and it still looks like it was rushed into production. I think it's just a matter of time before a recall is issued on the SC.

Note: The parts that are failing are basically the add-ons for the extended drive-shaft pulley.

One year is a lot of time no matter how you look at it. As a mechanical engineer I don't fair well with under engineering support brackets. I'm sure the engine and drivetrain reliability took up most of the R&D. But you make a very good point, the blower itself is a solid unit.

Did you get it fixed and you're still waiting for a reply like me or are you waiting for answers on how to get it fixed???

It really sucks to log in and see new topics on problems with the S/C. I really do like the blower, I don't have to worry about as much things going wrong, but things like this really shouldn't be a concern to any of us. It's just sad

My dealer got it in less than a week. It might help too that our dealership sponsors our Scion club, so they didn't give me the run around. Good luck with the blower, maybe one day soon we'll both be running turbos.

Where is the oil leaking at? On the shaft? I really gotta know where so I can take a look at mine to see if I'm okay. So far, my bracket is still in good condition. I have to continuously check my engine bay for anything unusual. I need pics please.

It leaks where the shaft ends into the aluminum housing by the the three allen bolts. I noticed it only because I had the stock header and heat shield still on and saw the nice little trail of oil it was leaving. At the time, oil leaks weren't that common. It seems like now they're not unusaul to see being posted. It's just sad

Is this where it's leaking at? Is mine leaking oil? My bracket is still perfect.

Make an appointment...and show them the leak...they are going to call TRD...and hopefully they don't take as long as they have for me...
