Default broken exhaust manifold stud

has anyone change these studs out before ? only have 3 out of the 5 studs holding my turbo mani.. ill get pictures tomm.

take it to the machine shop and get it redrilled. this time look for a stronger studs. its a b!tch but it worked on my civic before.

well the bolt was still on there but looked weird so when i went to touch it the bolt just fell off so i look at it and the bolt was like a dark purple ish color and a friend said that it got to hot or something like that but ill put up some pictures

How far down did it break off, if you have at least 1/4" left you can use my patented trick Take a nut thats slightly bigger than the shat, slip it over it, mig weld the ____ out of the inside of the nut to the shaft, remove with socket, ive gotten many a borken bolt out this way, but if it broke of flush with the head than only option is to machine it out.

no its flush with the manifold i may have about 1/4" left but no mig welder haha any other option someone told me i can use the 2 bolt trick or however you do it haha i have to go back and read it again

Go to Toyota and get new studs. Take some vice grips and latch on to them and unscrew them from the block. I had one break about 1/4 inch from the block and that's what I did.

We are coming out with longer, beefier stainless steel exhaust studs for the turbo fellas. Stay tuned.
