Default Built Engine Trouble? Need Help

This weekend I put in K1 Rods, CP Pistons, ACL Rod Bearings, Cometic Head Gasket, ARP Head Studs.

I have 112 miles on the car right now.. have not gone over 2600RPM's

I have a few concerns right now I am looking for help with

1) When i turn the car on it jumps to 2000RPM's and goes back down
2) Vacuum is a little low.. around 15 at idle.. normal while driving
3) MAIN CONCERN - At idle and then again at exactly 2500RPM's the car shakes VERY badly.. the whole car.. sounds/feels like I have steel motor mounts at those points.
We opted to keep the balance shafts and I am almost positive the timing on the chain in dead on.

My ideas:
1. crank needs to be balanced
2. balance shaft chain timing is off
3. remove balance shafts
4. no idea
5. no idea

need some help

Gutted,

I would take off your pan and check your bearings. Make sure there's no damage yet - and disassemble. Double check EVERYTHING. You don't want to damage any of these new costly parts.

Also - I'm not too familiar with the K1's in our engines - but do these require notching to clearance?

Are you still using the stock crank pulley?

Yeah that's why I asked.. I remember Carillos needed that notch. Maybe a quick answer would be to find the width of each K1 and Carillow and compare.

Still on the stock crank pulley.

ScionGT35R used the K1 rods and said it did not have to be notched

K1 rods are tiny for an aftermarket rod so I doubt clearance is an issue. Any noises when the vibration hits?

nope just intense vibrations.. the whole car

starts getting noticable at 2450RPM in every gear
at idle the vibrations are more than normal also

sounds like I have aftermarket cams in the car

when I bring it up to about 2700RPM's and let it sit there for a few seconds it sounds like a knock

rod bearings is my next guess

sounds like a first order vibration. what was your final clearance in the rods and mains? does it sound like a rod knock? did your prime the oil system before starting the vehicle?

Has ANYONE put the K1 Rods and CP Pistons in their cars and either had or not had the rotating assembly balanced? Looking for this info.,
