Yes indeed! Don't get me wrong: if you plan on racing your engine in any way you need to balance the assembly. It is just that his problem at around 2,000rpm's is not related to balance!!

just took the balance shafts out.. they were aligned slightly incorrectly. Removed them and plugged the hole with a bolt, threadlocker red, and JB weld.
The JB weld is curing now.. will post updates later tonight

pretty good news

pulled the balance shafts out yesterday.. the second shaft wasnt aligned correctly.

so Screw putting them back in.. Me and my friend threaded a bolt in about 6mm.. because the hole is crooked so the bolt wont go all the way in. Then I used some JB weld and let it sit for a few hours.

Came back and started it up after putting everything back together. Ran much smoother overall..

The idle came down a little bit and the vibrations came down at idle also.

Although my vacuum is still low which I cant pinpoint.. maybe the drop in compression?

Anyways after a few minutes I took it out for a drive and the vibrations decreased a lot.. but there are barely noticable vibrations in the upper RPM.. but I believe because I have no balance shafts lol

So from what I can tell my car is running very good.. Boost feels very good again.

As a side note pulling the balance shafts.. I did notice an increase in acceleration

And when I pulled the oil pickup/screen I found parts from my stock pistons

It doesnt have a pan on it so I have to skip those steps

small vacuum leak is what i think.. either that or something is loose. Did you do it yourself..? Might want to double check or even tripple check..
