Built motor not cranking. Help!
Alright, 9:1 compression reading 135psi across the board. checked spark on all coils, fine. have yet to check fuel delivery but i am getting fuel pressure. it rotates fine, tripled checked the timing chain for timing marks per the service manual. Still will not start!! GRRR. My worst fear is i put the crankshaft position sensor on backwards. I do have duplicates of everything to try as well.
I'm requesting any help here guys, anything that could cause it to not start over.

i've checked all the connections, only one not connected is A/C since i have to charge it after removing the lines. I've got compression, no way to check oil pressure easily, sparks on cylinder 1 as a test. I will be checking the fuel system tomorrow after work. It just sounds like the timing is off because if i try to crank it after a few rotations, it will stop rotating then start turning again, as if it fired during compression on one of the cylinders. At this point it's just a guess.
I'm not sure if I would be getting codes until after a successful run, then again, i dont have a scanner handy. I'll grab one from unadvanced auto Monday.

I bet $10 that ____ Crankshaft gear is backwards. I absolutely know that the timing chain and cams are set right but i'm going to check them again. I need a boroscope to check that crank gear. i've got all the sensors plugged in, i may swap them one at a time and test as well.

BIGBZ, GET THE ____ OUT OF MY THREAD.
Back at the ranch...... I've been all over the service manual today, since im at work and cant rip the car apart until i get off. I still think its the crank sensor, gah thats going to be a PITA.

same here i did the same too.. haha.. i thought i had the "f" forward but it was backward.. after that i got it runnin but i still have other problems.. i would pull the crank pulley off and look at the plate if u see a inprint of a dot.. then u have it on backwards.. that dot is from the oil pump gear.. i believe..

yea..sounds like what i had.it would crank and crank and wants to start.. but it doesnt.. thats what happend to me.. i pop the crank pulley off and saw a inprinted dot that should be there.. the crank timing plate is gold and you should see any dot or mark on it.. also check the crank sensor make sure that didnt get screwed up

well i pulled the crank pulley off, no dot on it. i pulled my alternator and compressor so i can look into the sensor hole so i can compare the teeth to the position of the motor. hopefully i can tell if the flat spot on the gear is in the right spot in rotation and then i'll know if its backwards or not. Ill keep yall posted!

ok, so the crank sensor plate is not backwards. if the key is at the 3 o'clock position then the flat spot is a the 1 o'clock postion, right at the crank sensor hole.
Now i just gotta figure out what else it could be.... :/
