Default Built motor questions

So I have a few questions I just wanted to get opinions on...

A) How quick can i switch over to synthetic oil? Im currently at 190 miles on the built motor - did the first oil change at 50 miles and dropped the pan to insure any machining debris was cleared. Next weekend I plan on taking the car to Tulsa for Scikotics Asylum and will probably have around 600-700 miles on it by than. Id really like to go ahead and switch it over to synthetic before I head to Tulsa, think thatd be ok at that mileage?

B) What weight oil are you guys using? Im thinking about running 10w40 - esp due to the hot summers of Oklahoma - than changing over to 5w30 in Oct/Nov. What's you guys' opinion on this?

C) What kind of timing are you guys running on 9:1 compression? I dont currently have a way to monitor knock, and it def wouldn't be audible with my exhaust setup - right now im targeting right around a 11.75-12:1 afr at boost and pulling around 6-7 degrees of timing - btw this is on 11.6 psi on a t3/60-1 - using AEM FIC to tune. I usually considered pulling .75-1 degree per psi on stock block - however im thinking i can run a little more advanced on 9:1 compression. Also im running 1 step colder plugs - BKREIX7 I believe - they are also the tighter gap - like .033 i believe - as compared to the -11 which is like at .044

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give

No love huh? I did some data logs with my elmscan and watched the factory ign timing during multiple pulls in third gear - I didnt see any points where it pulled timing indicating that it appears the stock knock sensor isnt seeing anything, or else I should see a spike where timing is retarded, correct? As for oil - ive questioned multiple folks on this and it appears I should wait until at least 1500 miles on the motor - I think to be safe Ill just change the oil again before i head to Tulsa but just stick with good ole Dino 10w40 until I hit 1500 mi.

So another question, anyone know how fast the FIC can switch maps (using the map a/b toggle switch)? If its fast like under .25 - .5 sec - than i have a way to make the fic have a legit 2step haha. Basically you set two points in your ignition map on the rpm scale - for instance i wanted mine around 4500 so i set a point at 4400rpm and another at 4390 rpm - i than set all timing regardless of boost at 4400rpm and above to the max negative like -31.3 I believe - everything at 4390 and below is set to 0 - than on your fuel map make the same break point - everything at 4400 and above add liek 20% more fuel - everything at 4390 and below - leave how your normal fuel map is. When you have the fic set to use this map, floor the throttle youll get a perfect 2 step about 200-300 rpm higher than where you set the break point. COmplete with ak47 sound, black smoke, pig rich afr's, fireballs, and most importantly - it builds boost perfectly At the example i setup i was making 9.5 psi in my driveway - and prob scared the ____ outta nayone within a 1/4 mi radius haha. So yeah - the hard part is, to make this actually work itd need to be setup on a clutch switch so when you release the clutch it goes back to your normal map lol - thats why im wondering how fast the fic changes maps when using that switch

Im gunna hook up a switch tonight and test it to see if the map change it fast enough (while in neutral of course) to make this practical. I can make a vid but it would be on my cell phone lol which im sure wont be great, but I can try haha
