Calling all Supercharger owners...very important!!!!

Why not just Jet Hot coat it? Wrap is ugly, traps water, and corrodes even stainless with the combination of exhaust heat and road grime infested water that gets trapped under it. It's really not that great an idea for street cars. Perfect for racers though.

Wow, well it looks like my next purchase is header wrap or I'm putting the stock headers back on. I can't believe that happened, that absolutely sucks. Why don't you hold off on a new car and see if lo_bux can hook you up. I don't see any reason why you couldn't get new seals, TRD is being ridiculous.

I just checked on jet hot and it reduces temps by something like 70 percent so I guarantee it would work. The only problem is that it looks to be pretty expensive. I just ordered some header wrap off of ebay and I'm going to try and rig the header heat shield on.

Well the DC Header is Ceramic Coated, However I dont believe that it is a heat absorbant ceramic. Even if it is, it obviously is not a very good ceramic. Within 5 Seconds of the car being on the heat is unbearable on the DC Sports Ceramic.
Maybe the Jet Hot would be a good solution, as well as a metal plate like what was suggested.
I will try to decide what the best solution is.

I'm putting the stock header and heat shield back on because I was planning on getting a new header (4-2-1) anyway and I'll just keep stock until I can get a new one and get it jet hot coated. I may be being over-precautious but at this point I don't really care since $2900 is at stake.

This is what I'm wanting to know. Maybe it's not the pulley, it's just that the people with the pulley have headers and that's the problem. Although you might be able to call TRD and tell them you have a problem with the leak and have the pulley and the header and see what they really blame it on. For all we know TRD might just be jumping on anything that they can possibly blame the problem on.

^^^ This is another thought that I had.. I can totally see them just blaming it on the header so they dont have to deal with it, which just makes me want to get out of TRD all together.. I mean, come on. A header causing this problem and they wont even help one of there customers out???
When the guy got an attitude with me I was like, Fine man, whatever... click... lost total respect for that guy all together..
I am just hoping that I get a good trade in on my car.. I got offered 15500 without them knowing that the S/C was put on by toyota and stock is warrantied.. so if I can get 18500 I will definately do it.. let alone 18000....
Anyone want a tC?? lol...
