hmmm....

but my theory is that the hydra wouldnt be compliant with the OBDII port tho right?

like u cant scan for codes n such since all the factory sensors arent being used by the stock ecu anymore?

its a no.. even for the 2.6 i believe.. even though there is no light on the dash if you plug you OBD scanner it will show multiple codes for the factory sensors not used

I'll tell you what, I'll go to my buddies to see if my car is still throwing codes but not showing them. How about that?

yup you can go ahead and do that to verify... but with hydra not using the primary O2 and maf sensor im 100% sure it wont pass, OBD scanner will always look for those data

I have asked this before in the past. And after much digging, have rested with the answer as being NO with the same reasons as mentioned above. However, some users have come out and said that the Hydra can use the factory sensors, so "Theoretically" might be able to. But no one is/has tried it. I would like for someone to take the time to actually set it up using all factory gear to see if it would pass.

This is the reason why I went with the next best thing...Emanage Ultimate.

I used to use all factory sensor before, like everything plugged like the maf and primary O2 and still throw few codes.. regardless if its plug or unplug its still show codes some different kind.. hydra sorta blocks input from primary O2 and MAF sensors no matter what.

Well I'm gonna have to say Yes/No because I work at the emissions station in PHX and if we plug into your OBD 2 port and get no response from the vehicle 1 of 2 things will happen both start with manager coming over , to verify vehicle has not responded to our systems, they will retry a couple times, then they will do a manual check to make sure no warning lights come on when the vehicle is started Note if your CEL is on, don't even bother going in) Then this is where the white shirt's discretion comes into play as they can either pass you and put you on your merry racer way or sentence you to the state retest center of DOOM! aka (A.D.E.Q.)

X2

All standalones or piggybacks will have OBDII codes or show that the sensors are incomplete test need to drive. (I forget the exact words when you plug in a OBDII scanner).

The Hydra does use OEM sensors but it is still in control of the engine so it will always have hidden codes until you connect a OBDII scanner to it.

One problem that I can see is that the hydra EMS would not pass along the VIN like the factory ECU would.

That's my understanding at least.

I have a code for no O2 sensor, but nothing else. Also, just because you don't have have a CEL, doesn't mean an OBD2 scanner will pull something. You can clear codes and they'll instantly come back as pending codes.

no 02 sensor wats that code number?

I have a too rich and maf out of range code.

Is the bov causing it to throw the rich code, or
Is it the 02 skew map?
