p0031 I think. I don't have an O2 sensor, so that's why it's throwing that code . My replacement is sitting on my passenger seat, gonna wait til I get to PTuning to swap it because my tune is based off having no O2 sensor.

I know it runs parallel with factory ECU, but do you know for a fact that the vin is still accessible? or are you guessing?

I know that I do NOT run the MAF anymore, but I still run the O2 sensor. I have it looped into the ECU, since I was using it before the turbo setup.

My intake manifold comes in tomorrow, so I will drive up to my car in storage and check to see what codes it throws, even though I have the Hydra blocking the CEL.

It is with my AEM EMS so why wouldn't it be with the Hydra, everything is still connected?

You guys were right, my Hydra blocks the CEL, but the codes are still coming up. THIS WILL NOT PASS OBD-II CHECK.

Just as I thought. What are your actual codes?

hmmm...... I see everyone posting in here about whether your vehicle will fail on codes alone... yeah that can fail you...but whether youre running f/i or N/A w/ a performance header.... you'll fail as soon as they pop the hood for the visual check and see the frickin' primary cat missing... lol

oh and not to mention...they have the right if they choose to use it...that if they see a vehicle that has been modified that eliminates/disables emissions control devices... technically they can call and have your car impounded on the spot as it is not street legal..... so unless you have f/i .... I keep my stock header to pop back on before I go down to have it tested :D ...then come home and put my other one right back on :D

Not here in TN. They just visual check for the cat in the exhaust. And they are not going to impound your car just because you fail the test. TN is not **** like that.

New cars that are OBDII they just pretty much scan for codes, check for exhaust cat, and check to make sure you have a working gas cap.

That's just absurd. I ran an open downpipe for a good 3 months and never got pulled over. Remind me to never even visit Cali.

If you have to ask that you don't wanna know! Its mad at NO MAF, Running Lean(its not), IATS(Intake Air Temp), NO SECONDRY O2, MISS in CYL 1-4 lol. Its seriously ____ed off bc of the built motor, timing and spark, 20PSI of boost. Since the Hydra v2.6 practically controls everything now the OEM ECU is seriously ____ed off. However with it not throwing any CEL's i dont give a crap.

That's cause Cali sucks! That could actually be true Cali is really strict on emissions.

^^ yeah... hence why all vehicles sold in the U.S. have to conform to CA's emission laws. Even if they arent as strict in other states.

ok so how do people pass emissions if they are throwing a CEL. I have a turbo system and its connected to an FIC. Im throwing a code for something, forgot what though. My tuner said there is a way to trick the computer for like 50 miles to pass emissions.
This basically really sucks, im in Illinois and I do not want to know what happens if I fail it. I think i have like a year left before i go back for emissions.
someone give some advice!

Depends on who actually is doing the test. If they do the test right then you won’t pass but if you find a shop that isn’t checking everything to be exact you could be fine. The problem is after you reset the CEL the emissions information showing on a scan tool will show certain emissions self test pending and if they tell you to drive around until all of these are compete it could take anywhere from 100-250 miles for these to complete.
