yeah his pic is def misleading. i had to back track his posts to dbl check. imho the greddy and hks are iffy. i dont like the fact that the newer ssqv's arent adjustable. i just ordered a synapse from paul @ dezod. i hope itll be here this week so i can get rid of my ssqv.

Try a synapse or a tial. U can get a synapse w the hks flange. Got mine ordered up from paul for like 230.00 plus freight n shipping. And thats w the hks adapter. Ur better off spending a lil bit now and prolonging the life of ur turbo or u can spemd more later and buy a new turbo.

Turbosmart BOV will even vent VAC. I watched my boost gauge and anything over 10 Vac I hear the BOV and release the pressure. My dual BB starts sounding at around 10-11 Vac anyway.

Haha - yeah noticed my tial was open at idle and was like wtf? Than after some research, found out it was normal

The RZ flutters as well i switched to the HKS because I thought it may work better but it surges with it to.....Like i said though i get no flutter at full boost just at like 0 to 3lbs even as 6lbs i dont beleive that it is enough to damage...

I just checked and Turbosmart specifies that the piston should be tight against the seat (closed) at idle and not even fluctuating. If it does move, they recommend increasing spring preload until the valve remains firmly closed.
Tial sells different springs designed to match engine idle vacuum to ensure that the BOV remains closed at idle.
I'm very certain that any BOV should remain closed at idle and only open when the pressure between the throttle body and compressor exceeds atmospheric pressure. Unfortunately this often results in some audible compressor "flutter" when the turbo is spinning up and the throttle closes abruptly but it's normal and won't hurt anything.
