Default Car smoking on decel

Need help folks. Car is smoking ONLY on decel. It does it whether its in gear or not no matter how fast im goin. No oil in IC piping. Turbo has very minimal shaft play. I have a oil catch can with a breather on it. Car still drives fine as far as performance. Its a 60-1 by garrett which Im the 2nd owner of and I know the car this turbo was taken off of. Smoke is white in color and it is a ish load of smoke and smells like oil. I wanna fix this issue without spending a whole lotta money. Any ideas?

well to be safe take of you down pipe to check and make sure no oil is coming out the turbo. but it sounds like the problem i was having where the car would smoke on decel, its mostly because you're turbo is using up the oil on accel then as the oil accumulates because of the pressure it smokes on decel that's just my theory though. ended up getting a new turbo anyways and no more smoke. but like i said check you down pipe and if worse comes to worse take your manifold off and make sure the oil isn't coming out of your exhaust ports i've seen built motors with this problem, probably thats not the case but better safe then sorry

put your hand on the bottom of the turbo and feel for oil. you could just be leaking out of the exhaust housing. also if it's not the turbo it could be your head gasket. and you're just noticing it on decel but it could very well be smoking under acceleration you just cant notice it.

will check and do all of that but I know its not smokin under accel, its ALOT of smoke. I hold it a diff RPMS for diff amounts of time and it always as soon as I let off the accelerator. I dont think its a gasket tho cuz it would be smoking all the time. There is no oil coming out of exhaust. My exhaust is like 18" long and pointing straight down... no oil forming and I dont feel a mist of any sort. No oil forming around the turbo either. I changed the return line yesterday and cleaned up dirt and oil and checked everything, no sign of leaking. I also flushed coolant and checked levels after running the car and no signs of coolant being consumed. Its really wierd and its ____ing me off to be honest. I will do a leakdown test tomoro and see what that tells me. I would think its turbo seals but wouldnt it smoke under accel and not decel?

sounds like valve seals or worn rings

pull the dipstick while the car is running and report

your car doesnt seem like it's smoking under acceleration because its burning most of the oil off.
