Also, if you can pick up a scangauge, I HIGHLY recommend it. It helps with tuning A LOT and helps with diagnosing problems. If it wasn't for my Scangauge, I'd probably still trying to figure out wtf that P2238 code was from. The Scangauge basically told me that my UEGO wasn't reading right, because I increased the idle fuel from .28GPH to .48GPH and the UEGO still read ---.

Not sure if Paul is still around...but do you know a simple way of adjusting my idle? I'm idling kinda high at 800-900 and would like to drop it to 700s if possible...

I made adjustments to my MAF map and that didn't seem to make much of a difference. That pretty much just messed with my AFR. I changed it from 2.3 to 2.19, and everything in between...

Move it to the top of that wishlist lol. If I had to make a list for best/most useful/holy crap factor, the ScanGauge would be damn near the top, with the turbo and sway bar in the same ballpark. It's the one mod that I've never doubted or regret getting.

Ive also been having another problem with my car and i have NOOOO idea what it is

all of a sudden like within the last 1.5 months, my car has been running lean under partial throttle boost

like my max is .5 bar, but basically anytime that im not flooring it the car is lean in boost

anyone have any ideas as to why this all of a sudden happened?

Jon, Im thinkning since we live close maybe you can take a look at mycar one day and adjust the map

it could be a lot of things so its kinda hard to tell, for me its as simple as the ambiant temps here in Texas.

hey Jon all i got right now is a code reader that i keep in the car, it helps a little but yeah id love to get a scan gauge.

have you tried adding fuel on the idle area? sometimes that helps.. i dont think you will ever have total control over idle though.. 800-900 sounds fine to me, temp affects idle and you would want it a lil higher on cold weather.. whats idle rpm w/ ac on?

Video won't work for a while, just a quick clip of the exhaust while it's on the dyno.

^^ whats wrong with it? maybe you guys have different fuel trims or jon's map might need few adjustments, remember his car runs good on his winter weather prolly 20-30 deg right now compared to 50s weather

its just that when i first load it the car barely runs but then smoothes out, after about 200 or so miles the tune runs really lean in closed loop so i end up having to clear my longterm fuel trims and reload the map. sometimes though after i reload i cant keep the car running. idk what to do with the fic, i checked today to see if maybe i have a short in the harness to the fic but everything checked out with a meter.

what cels you have right now? did you have that resistor mod? sometimes i notice that too when you just cleared your LFT/cels that it runs crappy at first with current tune then gets better after awhile
