Default CEL on my S/C'd TC

I recenlty got a code PO420 (front O2) on my TC. I was driving normal, not beating on it and doing about 50mph. Any ideas what could have caused this?

That wouldn't throw the code for the front O2. A header throws a cat converter code. Unless the first O2 was damaged when the person took it out when they put the header in.

Yup, sounds like the first 02 sensor is toast. Even worse...that 02 sensor is stupid expensive.

Give us alittle more information about your setup, and we can help you better.

Tell me about it. I couldn't get mine out of my stock header. So instead of damaging it. I just brought a new one. That's why Vito (simplyscion) is laughing. The new air/fuel sensor is right around $225.

You are getting an O2 sensor problem.... You may reset it once and then take it to the dealer if it continues to plague you...

I didn't pay that much, but that's the going rate and also what I was quoted over the phone for one. I got it much cheaper thanks to my boy.

If so, that's the sensor on the S-pipe. Warranty. If it was the A/F sensor, his car would be running like a$$ 'cause it would most likely be in safe mode.

Did you do the SC reflash after you installed it?
