well mines didnt make a squeek! it took a ____ on me!!!! couple of blocks away from my house it just died! took me a couple of minutes to start it back up and when i did i try to floor it as fast as i could to get me closer to my house!! i had to push it a block to my house well half in the driveway by myself!!!!! damn this car is ____ing heavy!! well anyways i checked the CEL and it says throttle actuator stuck open! i took my intercooler piping out and the throttle plate was closed!!!! so my final conclusion is that its the TB sensor!!! time for a new TB! i officially am cursed!!! i had to open the plate by hand a lil start the car rev fast and make all the way in the driveway! hopefully can find a TB locally quick if not try to find one cheap!! i mean real cheap somewhere else. thanks everyone for your replies and toyo and mastertech you guys were right on the money!!!!

no problem. i'm glad we were able to help each other out here. as far as knowing if ur throttle body goes bad or not, when i took apart the bad one, i noticed a lot of rust and corrosion had built up around the gears inside that move the throttle plate so if anyone was to notice premature failuer it would most likely be exactly what you were experiencing, throttle acting funny here and there and getting worse over time. good luck with ur fix!

hey mastertech86 so in my case taking it apart and cleaning still wont help right? it the sensor right? and one more thing when i take right off i just clap the radiator lines so it wont leak radiator fluid and thats all right? the rest is vacuum lines.

cleaning wont help. IF you could even get the cover off to get in there is another story. that cover is thin plastic rivited on. easy to break. so if the throttle body has water damage, its pretty much finished. everyone i seen had such heavy corrosion and STILL had water inside of them seriously ur just better off getting a throttle body cheap somewhere.
there are two coolant lines you have to pinch off. and like you said, the rest is vacuum lines. if i remember i think there is only one vacuum line...? i might be wrong but either way, its cake.

hopefully is cake for me to do it. i'm the type of person that has no patience. but anyways i am going to shop around to see whats bet price i can find a TB for tomorrow. worse comes to worse i will have one shipped to me and my car will be out of commission till i get the TB. i swear i seriously have the worse luck with my car!!! so far i have a hairline crack on the top of my cast iron mani lol and this now!!! and i think its time to change the BOV i'm tired of trying to adjust it! i have the greddy type s! thinking of going with a tial or hKS.

Your welcome. I had a tough time unbolting the thing from the intake manifold, those things are cinched down pretty good. You gotta give it a little umph to unbolt them. I hope this fixes your problem man! BTW, are you running a stock intake mani? or aftermarket?
#30
stock for now. olympic motorsports is going to make a intake mani and use my car to test it out hopefully soon. but they have so many cars they have to wrk on it will probably be a while before it gets done. just going to run 22psi with a stock mani and a cast iron mani for now.
