Default Changing octane points

So the gas station by my house now sells 5 gallon drums of shell 100 octane.

My question is since AZ gas sucks.

if i take an empty tank fill up 5 gallons of 100 octane then fill the remainder with 91 octane.

What will my end octane be?

Is it worth the extra money?

Your best bet is to get a more conservative tune for your daily use and a more aggressive tune for the 100 octane. Use the 100oct on weekends or track days or whatever and use the different map.

If you just add the 100oct to 91, you'll end up with about 95oct and, if you're already running a safe tune for 91, won't do much.

Time to make your own race gas (http://www.elektro.com/~audi/audi/toluene.html)... Well it is worth at least a try. If you are boosting then this will be very beneficial with our 9.6 compression ratio.
