Default Cold air intake question

Why are some cold air intakes 30 dollars and others are 350 dollars. Is there that much of a difference and is there a quality kit that is in between , like 150 or so

DO NOT BUY a sub-$150 CAI.
Even that is likely on the edge - unless you get a good name on sale or used.
The difference is that a simple tube is not good enough - there is some science involved, and the quality of the metal is questionable on a $25 CAI.
Aluminum is expensive right now, so you're likely getting some pot-metal made in CHINA POS for the cheap ebay prices.
Also, the filter is HUGELY important - those cheapos likely will allow a lot of crap into your intake and that is bad news for your engine.
Get a known entity.
If for nothing else but your pride man!
