compression test result
my cousin came over and did a compression test on the TC and cylinder 2 + 3 arent holding. they are at 80ish. from what i read online it's the head gasket.
If the compression is low or zero on two adjacent cylinders, it would indicate:
There is a 'blown' or weak sealing surface at the head to block mounting area, which basically means a bad head gasket.
The camshaft is broken in an area that operates valves for two adjacent cylinders.
just wanted to know from someone with experience because i dont want the shop to tell me different. heard that if i had blown rings then all the cylinders will be low.

What were all the compression numbers? Because its cyl 2/3 sounds like the HG is blown in between them. Do a Wet Compression test as well to see if its something else before tearing anything apart. If youve never done a wet compression test, its very easy to do. Get straight 40wt oil, no multi weight like 10w-40, get straight 40wt. All you do is put about 2 teaspoons of oil into the cylinder, and just redo the compression test like normal. The oil will seal the rings and tell you if the damage is above in the head, or above the pistons.

Either way, it sounds pretty bad. Hopefully nothing else got hurt besides the gasket but the teardown to get to it should reveal if any more problems are gonna haunt you. Hope all goes well.
