Hey Gompka, I think there might be a problem then.

The housing has a gap which I can't seem to get closed. I think the end of your shaft might be too long for the housing. Do you think once I screw down the 3 bolts that hold the housing close, the gap will close?

The black cylinder that the 12 pt bolt goes through does bottom out on the shaft. You didn't make the central hollow tube of the shaft any longer right? The extra length you put on the ends of the shaft should be taken up by the length of the pulley and the length of the black cylinder the 12 pt bolt goes through right?

It was only made longer from the stock position out through where the pulley goes onto the shaft. I would make sure everything is in there snugg. Give the shaft a few taps with a rubber/wooden mallet, also make sure the little plastic piece on the blower side is on there tight. Everything should fit perfectly I just put one of these in for someone a couple days ago and everything was fine. Just double check everything, its probably just a little slack somewhere that you need to get rid of.

just wanted to say that i have a little over 5000miles on gompka shaft and bearings with no issues i also did the grease fitting trick. and im running the ceramic bearings on the s/c side. with this setup the car seems to have less drag out of boost witch leads to better throttel responce while out of boost. im verry happy with this shaft far better than oem. its a s/c must!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I am extending this sale through next week as a couple people have asked me if i could wait a few more days with the current $441 price.

I just got off the phone with Gompka and he got me the sale price. I have been bad about checking the site. I plan on getting a new s/c under warranty, then turning around and voiding it with a new pulley and shaft. i want to add the grease fitting to the pulley end of the shaft while i have it all apart. anybody running a 9.5 with gompka's shaft and grease fitting? what sort of life expectancy for the shaft bearings with this setup, should i expect? thanks guys for all the years of good info, and thanks gompka for extending this great price a few more days!

You should have cause they were on sale last week. The diy is complete, you do the same in reverse to get i back together. And the place you choose to press in the bearing will know how to do that. Someone is supposed to send me a video of how they put thier shaft on start to finish. If that video is better than what I have up I will post that one.

I would like to make more, the problem is i needed to get 19 of these at once before, and I would need to get 10 minumum for a second run. That requires me to put a lot of cash upfront without any guarentee that the rest of these will sell. I have 5 of them left right now. If people show more interest in these after they are gone I'm going to have to do a pre-order type deal to get more of these made. So at that point once 5 people put in orders and give me 1/2 down or whatever it would need to be i would be able to make more. So your best bet would be to get one now while they are still guarenteed to be here unless of course you and 4 friends want to order them once i'm out of stock of these 5 lol

I'm interested in one but only need it if my happens to break. To bad the only market for these are replacements. Replacements tend to sit on the shelf till someone needs one.

Yup, if i was a big company and could afford to have some stuff sit on a shelf, then no problem, but i'm definetly not in a position to afford that.
