The bearings from kik are also good, however his bearing package is more of a general overhaul for the blower side of things. The Grainger bearings are plenty if your just replacing the shaft/pulley side bearings.

This has already been covered many times. I don't really care about your theories, we have real world experience, and so do many people here on scion life. No the seal on the bearings doesn't block the grease. A very easy test to seed that it doesn't is to pump toil much grease into the housing and are it ooze out of the pulley side bearings. This is the last time I'm covering this in the post because most everyone has seen this discussed already.

Hey everyone, i have had a lot of questions about more shafts lately, and I would like to let everyone know we will make another run at the end of July. I will be out of the country for a while this summer and we will start production once i get back.

Hey guys, i just gave the shop the go ahead to make another batch of shafts. I have gotten a lot of requests for shafts lately and have decided its time to make another batch again. The shop will work on these while I am in Europe, they are uber busy right now though, so i am being told that the due date for these will be early August. I will keep you guys updated with progress as I will have access to emails etc while on my trip.
I am opening up the website to take payments again, so you can place orders starting today.

Shafts are in the works everyone, if you need one now is the time, i was not planning on making these, but i have gotten enough interest to warrant another batch, it looks like many of you are still enjoying your superchargers.

Most likely, your supercharger will be making some nasty sounds. Usually what happens is the bearings go out and then damage the shaft. The sounds typically associated with this are high pitched whining noises and or chattering.

Are there any physical markers to tell you that that's what needs changing? Would it be warped slightly? Etching somewhere?

Go to my website below and look at the galleries album (customer shafts) there will be metal dust/bits in the shaft housing and sometimes the bearings will slide off my hand, they you will see where the shaft has been worn down.

- Shafts going into grinding this Friday,
- Then to balancing a week after that
- Lastly final inspection. Hopefully they will be finished in about 2 weeks.
- Ordering bearings today
- Ordered loc-tite packages today
- Ordering woodruff keys tomorrow

Remember guys this is not just a hunk of metal, there is a lot of work and consideration put into each shaft. There are 4 shops working on this to get a final product.
Also, we had a bunch of delays this time around, shafts have been on order since the middle of June and I was told they will hopefully be ready this weekend!
Remember guys this is not just a hunk of metal, there is a lot of work and consideration put into each shaft. There are 4 shops working on this to get a final product.
- Shop #1 orders materials, precuts end pieces and hollow center tube on cnc.
- Shafts goes to a different shop to undergo vacuum hardening.
- Shaft goes back to shop #1 where the end pieces and center tube are mounted together and welded.
- Shaft goes to shop #3 for grinding, after hardening the material is too hard to cut on a cnc, the final 2-3 thousands of an inch are grinded off to come up with the perfect dimensions.
- Shaft is sent to shop #4 for laser balancing, this makes sure there is no vibration in the shaft that can lead to premature bearing failure.
- Shaft comes back to shop #1 for final inspection, bearings get pressed on, and shafts are ready to ship
