Default Customer feed back on Dezod/APR X1 inline ECU

We have a handful of people out there using this unit. Most of them are on here and active members.

One of our customers is a soldier stationed in Germany. He is stationed near the Nurburgring and participates in many local track days there. He had this to say about the unit.

This thing is Money!, 20 Jun 2010 by Daniel Tarin from AE United States
This unit is simply one of the best units available for an easy tune! The control and drivability of my car on this unit is heaven. I am still extracting power with each new datalog. I have no local dyno but with this unit I don't really need one. Don't overlook this hybrid unit this thing is Money! Buy it and you won't regret it! Thanks Dezod!

While AEM FI/C and Greddy EMU are proven to work we all know they sometimes just don't do as well of a job as we would like. Finally there is a unit available with the precision and capability that will allow you to boost your car and tune it well enough to feel like it was boosted from the factory.

OEM quality tune FTW!!

I have no doubt in my mind he is speaking the truth. And if I had the money all at once I would get this in a heartbeat. Dezod give me a payment plan!

What? Interested who else is over here driving the ring... I am about 45 minutes from Nurburgring... Here is a video of my last trip there, my brother is the chatty one on the camera. Only been around twice but made it in 11.23... I have a Dezod kit ready to put in, then I will to try it again.

His name is Dan and he is stationed in Germany with our S1 and an APR unit on it. Pop on your S1, get it tuned then run that lap again.

I know you are not Dan. I was saying his name is Dan because you asked who the other guy is.

Default My name is Dan!

Sorry about the late reply on this thread. I am the Dan that lives in Germany. I have the APR Unit with the Dezod S1 Kit. I am a ring junkie and a autobahn lover. Thanks Don and Paul for the post about my feedback. I still want to fly one of you out to tune my baby personally. I can tune a car but from what I have read Dezod is the final authority on tuning. I have a mechanical background I joined the military to pay for my schooling at UTI nascar in AZ. I decided that mechanics is better as a hobby not a daily job. Wrench turning is fun if its done to extract HP and TQ from a vehicle. I don't recommend working for a dealership, you only get ignorant people as customers. No offense to those that do work at one.

I am not a social network guy so I am often not online communicating or reading. I came up on this forum only because my buddy told me I had a feedback on one of the forums. He has an WRX STI we are trying to tune at the moment.

For those of you wondering about the APR Unit, it does exist and it is true! These units are perfect for the TC! I am about to start tinkering with the X1 boost control feature and the alcohol control once I get a set boost and some resonate noise resolved.

Once you sift through all the BS and weird setups Dezod is really the only way to go. Though PTuning does make some sick items they don't ship to APO boxes. Dezod has helped me with my little cars transformation into a little demon. I am planning on more mods after my return from deployment. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I won't have to go only because I want to finish tuning and assembling my little car.

Dan, thanks for chiming in and providing real time feedback on the X1. I am glad to see you are enjoying it and getting use of all of it's cool functions especially on the ring....

Default The ring!

Speaking of which I have a dance with destiny "maybe" (ring) "crossfingers" on July 16th pulling for some good times. Detached front sway with the DAN Gardner rear sway cuts like butter and hugs autobahn pavement very nice! APR "tcdata" hybrid and some meth/water juice I know I'm gonna have fun.

Dezod Turbo was nice before on the ring but now? I stay up at night thinking about driving. For those who are wondering how it is driving on the "ring" and not on "grand tourismo the game" its like an outer body experience. You never thought you would be driving your own car on the track. I'd spend my lunch money on laps if I could, really like a party on wheels.
