Yes I've heard the same thing. This was using a 3inch s-pipe as well. A 3 inch midpipe back shoul dbe ok as far as heat goes.

We have very little room to make a 3inch s-pipe fit without"cooking" the oil. Too bad too cause I bet a 3inch s-pipe would free up some hp.

So, why come you can't make a heat shield for the Oil pan to solve that issue IF that was the case?

PS....I can't see the videos, all I can do is hear it. Who still uses putfile for videos anyway. YouTube FTW!

Theres really no need for a 3 inch s-pipe unless you planning on running alot more boost imo.

Anyway thats just what I heard about the oil. Who knows if it's true. I know one thing, I'm not going to be the one to test it

245.

Im having it tuned at 10-11psi with the exhaust. im actually most likely going to purchase the dezod 2.5" exhaust today. So, im guessing it should be around 280 or so after all that?

until you reach 400+whp, a 3 inch exhaust is a bit on the overboard side. 2.5inch exhaust is good up to 400whp.

Just an update. We have installed the qtec cutout and holy crap it sounds sick. The ARF's stay nice and level too. WOT 11.4 with the cutout open. Call me crazy but the butt dyno is telling us we have at least a dozen more hp. Hopefully we can get it on a dyno to show the results.

3inch is not overboard. the best exhaust is no exhaust on a turbo car. i bet there is a ton of backpressure with a 2.5inch system. your doubling the output of the engine and you need to get that exhaust out of the cylinders.

FWIW i gained 80rwhp just going from a stock exhaust to a full 3inch setup. then i ran open DP and picked up 20more rwhp. this was on the supra.

i would love to see someone hook up a pressure gauge to an exhaust while the person is boosting 10psi or so.

when i install my turbo, i'll be running the ATP V.E.S system. basically a next generation cutout that is far better in design and is boost activated. (has it's own wastegate actuator)

imo I would rather have something like this where I choose if its open or not.

I pulled really hard him now with the qtp. I pulled atlease 4 cars on him. ( o and it sound awsome a turbo v8 truck mixed with a tractor) lol its loud as hell!
