I am going to order a Dezod kit in about 5days and i want to buy the cutoff valve from http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php
But i am confused, how should i order my turbo so i can use the QTEC cut off valve ?
1- Closed loop dump tube?
or
2- Open dump wastegate ?
Any other info is appreciated.

Closed watsegate.
The good thing about this is......its only open when you want it to be. Open wastegate dumps are insanely loud anytime you hit boost. Plus you only gain 1-5 hp from a open wastegate dump. The will yield more hp and is only loud when you want it to be.
Pollup,
Since we installed ours behind both o2 sensors our AFR's didnt change a bit. 11.4 closed 11.4 open.

see mine will because i will have a more restrictive exhaust on there, the afr should change a little, it should go a little richer since your not able to move as much air. im pushing 10 psi spring, i cant even hit 10psi yet because of my exhaust and stock s pipe..
#71
You prolly cant hit 10psi because of the boost loss from the intercooler and piping. I also have a 10 psi spring and have never gone over 8 psi due to boost loss. Every boosted car has this.
What kind of piggy back are you using?

The Opening and Closing of the WG is not controlled by PSI level. It's controlled by throttle position. You can boost without opening the WG. Therefore, it's not loud just because you are boosting. It's loud when your foot hits the floor.

not true, on a 10 psi spring my car will be capable of 10.5 max psi. boost loss is not an issue. i am not hitting full boost because of my stock s pipe, its really restricting the flow. i chagned the muffler recently and that bumped my car up to right around 9 psi.

the MESSAGE I was trying to convey is that you don't have to open the WG just because your boosting.....MEANING, it's not loud just because you are in boost. Partial Boosting will not open the WG.
Like I said, I wasn't getting all technical. I know what a WG's job is...
