tap out from pass side for the win BTW to m,ake it easy i just pulled the motor with the driver side still in than tapped it out once i had the motor/tranny in an open area

no beuno. the diff had something in between it and i didn't want to damage it...i just used a prybar and kept at it. finnallly got it =D

hey trav i just helped out carlos install his clutch this weekend...its not all that bad but we wher a little clueless at first on what to start with...we got it though...driver side shaft is a pita

i use a pry bar.. Like from lowes for removing nails and what not.. Worked perfect takes like 2 seconds.. Then again ive had my tranny out 4 times lol!

Try putting the driver shaft in a TRD LSD....OMG 10 times harder. It got to a point about 3/4 way...and just stopped. I eventually managed to get her buttoned up though.

you never know, we ARE on sl.

lol. i figured you meant a flathead through the sides of the spidergear or whatever is in the middle...but i didn't want to damage it so i just used a prybar.

Well, I guess if you are a little more nervous with that method that's fine. But yeah a couple of different ways to do it for sure.
