If they use a bigger stub you have to have a hub to match. Thats why the driveshaft shop kit comes with new hubs.

And shipping was 7-10 business days.

They showed up today. The stub shafts are larger than the stoch ones. Not a whole lot bigger, but they are larger. The hubs look good and they came with new ARP wheel studs. As soon as I get some new wheel bearings ill do the install.

does anyone have pics of whats needed to do for the axles? along with tools needed (ie what size socket the axle nut is)

im debating whether or not i should pay 100-200 labor for a shop to do it for me and not worry about it or if i should just save that money and do it myself cus its really something easy to do.

but i found a drivetrain shop around here that sells both axles for 300 which includes a $50 core each side.... not sure if that means i pay 400 and get 100 back or pay 300 and get 100 back but i think its a pretty good deal considering Autozone, Advance Auto, Pepboys and Napa cant get them for me lol. and the dealer wants 900 for parts alone

the axle nut i think was a 32mm 12pt deep socket.. but 300 is for a built or just an oem replacement axle? If its not a built one it damn expensive, I got a cheap one at oreilys for 75 plus core on one axle.. price is about the same too with autozone or advanced auto..

the built spline looks good! it should hold a good amount of power more..

honestly idk if its built or not lol. and autozone or advanced said they dont carry them at all (well advanced said they have a part number for the passengers side but thats about it)

and i dont have any oreilys around here

but are the axles something i can take out myself with some basic hand tools?

thats weird coz i went to advance and autozone and they can order it.. but yeah some wrench/rachet, sockets, prybar/driver, jack stands and some buddy to help you. I think the hardest part was to remove the driver side coz it has a C clip on the inner spline

Its a wire ring thats set in a groove on the end of the axle. It shouldnt come out, but if its not there when you pull the axle, you better go fishin.

And an FYI, if you snap an axle, check the wheel bearings. When mine broke it hosed the bearings.
And, If you buy the D.S.S. kit you will need new wheel nuts. The ARP studs that come with the kit are about an inch longer than stock.
