Default Daily driven with no Balance shafts

As the title says, who has done the balance shaft delete, and has been driving around for some time without the balance shafts?

How many miles would you say you have put on the car since then?

I probably will do it while the other motor is being built. Not going to do it on this motor. I want to see how long people been driving around like that. Looking for stock motor people doing it too.

Well removing it will reduce parastic drag on the egine and should improve throttle response right guys?

They're there to help dampen engine vibration by spinning twice as fast as your crank in the opposite direction

From what i have read about our engines the balance shafts are just there as a "comfort" addition. To make the engine vibrate less and make the car seem smoother. Shouldn't have any correlation to problems down the line. But bump good question.

The point is when the plastic gear spins itself into oblivion and feeds millions of pieces of plastic into your oil pump and causes a rod bearing to spin its a pita so yea balance shafts FTMFL

As I mentioned in the other thread about this, talk to bluesciontc over on yoursciontc.com. He has had his out for quite some time and pushes north of 300 whp (and drives it hard). He can provide some input for you I am sure.

The reason i ask this if you run a light weight crank pulley thats already adding vibration right....Im running the Agency power pulley....

Would taken the Balance Shaft no matter what still add to the internal vibration of the motor.....

I defitinitly think its a question that needs to be adressed, ive done my fair shair of reading on this subject....And to believe it is just there for a creature comfort and would be fine removed....

But... Those of use with Leight Weight Crank Pulleys are already causing internal vibration etc. so the two together does not seem like a good combo...

However, just getting a light weight flywheel will do all the same anyway just better and more effecient....
