I started with a street tune at 8 psi made 250whp... i now drive at 9 psi 310 professional tune and love it... more boost, I NEED MORE BOOST! thus the reason my TurboToyotas Stage 1 kit is coming off this saturday and being replaced!

i always carry a tool bag in my trunk for all those "incase things" funny thing is last night i had and intercooler pipe blow off when i wasnt even driving it hard so good thing i had that on me!

id say i dont drive my car very hard at all, had it on for a little over a year now and boost every now and then! hahahaha ok fine i boost all over the place!

in the end my total cost spent was about 10k over projected (this includes non boost related stuff like takatas, 5 axis lip kit and more) and love the car even more. love to drive it, show it, wash it, take pictures of it, tell people about it.. its great! and the best has yet to come.

future plans:

LSD
motor build
sweet tires
candy apple red paint

and im sure more than that, thats just the major expensive stuff!

haha

i my tc!

Wow what an old thread hahah...

I might as well comment. I sold my tC to a dealer, after parting everything out. It was boosted for over 2 years saw over a 100 trips to the track, daily driving at temps from the negatives to the 120+ temps with 91 octane here in AZ. The motor held up fine thanks to a good tune and proper maintainence.

I think that serves a a true testament to how long you can expect a turbo tC to last with proper care and high quality parts. Our kits are more expensive than some others (not at the moment), but it pays off in time as you own the car.

Glad to see some guys from the beginning are still boosted.

Man the forums have come a long way since then.

I believe he's running the same kit, just went through 1 or 2 turbos due to bad oil seals.

It's a glimmer of what use to be. How much of a kit can you really change though to say it's something else. But I have changed quite a bit of it. I would constitute it now as NOT being a Stage 1 (which it isn't anymore). Turbo is different, Hot side pipes are different, injectors are different, downpipe is now a production piece instead of the hand built one, pipes have been painted Wrinkle print Red, will eventually change to a Mishimoto FMIC to match my Mishimoto Radiator and lastly, the Oil feed and Return lines are different. Running a -3 AN line now instead of a -4 that was originally on the kit. I believe this was part of the problem when it came to blowing seals on the Mitsu turbos that were equipped in the ZPI kits.

Second phase will consist of PTuning's equal length manifold and a GT3076r for power. If Santa brings me a good Christmas bonus check, I'll be focusing on balance/grip instead of more power right now. Street Class Redline Time Attack season is the focal point for me at this time. Need LSD, RPF1 rims, Toyo tires, Coilovers, and a rear sway bar.

Sounds awesome!!, cant wait to do some time attacks myself, but looks like the 16g i plan to put in may not be sufficient enough, but a good start i suppose, lol

Next time I'm up in TN i gotta meet up with you guys!
