Dealer said this...
OK I called Toyota 3 days ago and I asked them if the the 05-06 S/C kit can work with the 07 and they said no it's a totally different kit, I asked them what the differences are and they told me that the manual doesn't say...
So if there are some good peeps here that will tell the truth... What are the difference of the 05-06 kit from the 07-08 kits?
I would really love to know the details.

I believe there are some ECU changes for the 07 model... which could be related to the different sized MAF (I think it was a size difference). Something like that anyways...
Simple answer, no, the 05-06 version will not work with the 07. At least not to my knowledge.

hmm well I think that the dealers don't know but trd themselves know but they won't tell u that lol umm I think its just placement since the 05-06 motors r set up differently b/c the 07-08 motors r capable to become hybrid they also changed things b/c they didn't want people putting aftermarket stuff they want people to buy trd parts only and they only make certain parts b/c of emissions reasons

wireing is different to.
If you search and no one on scion life knew the answer, then what make you think posting a new thread is going to get you any different answers?
Just post in one of the old thread, bring it back up to the top, and then anyone who's been watching it will post back if they have any new information.
Damn, is this like the first message board you've ever been on or something?

Superchargers are so ___, go with a turbo!!! Weren`t you looking into a turbo kit a few days ago? Seriously, you don`t know what you want, you should not even boost. Seems like you just wanna slap on a booster and call yourself Mr. Fast and the Furious. You gotta research man. Lemme help you out here.
Power Goals:
225WHP or less: Supercharger
250WHP or more: Turbo
Reliablity:
Warranty: Supercharger
Cost:
Power to Gains: Turbo
Boost Peak:
Boost peaks at 3500 or so RPMs with a turbo whereas the supercharger peaks at redline (imagine the gas mileage).
And the turbos have way more potential. Want more power? Turn up the boost! At some point with the increased boost, you`ll have to do the bottom end work and LSD.

best thing to do is call up TRD directly and ask. iirc the mounting for the s/c on the 07 is different, has to do with change in position of the exhaust manifold, so different bracketing. i'm 99% sure you won't be able to mod with 05/06 s/c to fit the 07, at least not without great difficulty.

Compare the following, maybe you can figure it out.

Page 32, figure just below 110
That is one difference, but there are more.

hmmm...
Looks like I'll be stuck with turbo, since its almost the same price and i'll be doing it myself.
Do members here do stage 0 1st w/ Emanage and gradually work their way up to 300WHP with more upgrades?
I plan on doing stages like my friend did, he said it's much more fun, you can control your car better and you can feel just how much power you slowly added into it...

Well, yea, but I meant on average. Our cars make what, 135WHP? So, a supercharger gives 90WHP? I don`t think so. Yea, you can get pullies, camshafts, etc. The highest you can go with a Supercharger is like 275WHP with a custom 10.5 PSI pulley. There is a dude with a 400WHP supercharged I think.

but then you mentioned if you want more power with turbo, just turn up the boost; you're doing the same thing when you get upgraded pulleys for the s/c. i dont think anybody has reached 400whp on the s/c yet (not posting on the forums at least). so far, icenine was the most powerful with 311whp, but he hasnt gotten track times yet.
the s/c is just another option for boosting, it's on personal preferences. if you got money to spend and wanna go s/c, then you can definitely make serious power with it. if you want best bang for the buck, then turbo is the way to go.

It`s that turbos have way more potential. The highest you`ve seen is 311WHP? With a turbo kit, 311WHP is very easy. I might get that when I am done with the kit at first with 10 lbs. I just don`t like the TRD Supercharger at all, it is very limited. Hell, I used to want a Mustang GT and the Vortech supercharger gave them an extra 100WHP or so. But, then, it`s a V8. I actually did consider a supercharger at one point, but realized if I wanted more power, I wouldn`t be able to do much, so I went with a turbo.
Turbo FTW

well if everyone was looking to make 300+whp, everyone would have turbo's. however that's not that case. some people just want a little extra pep while retaining the warranty. some just want a drop in and go solution. and some just like to be different and mod their s/c even though it isnt as cost effective as getting a turbo. you obviously want to make a lot of power with a turbo set up, go for it. i'd probably go turbo too, however, i'm an automatic. putting a turbo on would lead to tranny issues, so i went with s/c. in my case, turbo would end up costing me more money down the line then the s/c would.
