Descendant Intake Manifold and Fuel Rail
#29
This is their press release:
"DESCENDANT, the signature line of high quality racing & performance parts designed by Christian Rado of WORLD-Racing is proud to announce the release of their 2005+ Scion tC & 08+ Scion xB Billet Aluminum Fuel Rail. This Hi-Flow fuel rail is a direct-fit bolt on accessory for all enthusiast and can easily be converted to a full race dual feed with center return, AN fitting style fuel rail with a simple fitting swap. Each rail is CNC machined for a precision fit and utilizes a port fitting that seals perfect every time, eliminating the risk of a fuel leak at high pressures."
The main benefit to the fuel rail is to being able to run a return style fuel set up. Fuel starvation at high rpms is common when you are pushing your motor over ~350 HP. I don't want to bend the truth with this one. If you are not making that much power this would be more of a cosmetic mod for you. They come in silver, polished, and a rainbow of anodized colors for you to choose from.
Pricing starts at $194.95. Figure in another $20 for the polished or color treatment. This is significantly more than the Golden Eagle (GE) fuel rail. They are the same product, coming out of the same machines, and fitting the same applications. The Golden eagle sells for 142.95. No matter which rail you choose I will be able to help you out on pricing as I know the holidays are tough on all of us. I need to shop for two girl friends
This is their intake manifold. I have yet to hear any flow numbers or performance gains. I have 2 of these happily secured in a fedex truck as we speak, shipping to 2 scion lifers. One with a heavily modified tc with TRD s/c w/9.5 lb pulley and one similar with a 35R. They both claim that they will install, dyno, and tune with the new manifold. I am debating on running a comparison with this manifold and the OEM unit. However, I don't see the significance in running the OEM vs. aftermarket manifold. It would need to be fitted to the cylinder head to view an accurate result. There are a handful of 600 cfm flow bench's here in town, but at the added cost of running this test I believe that it should be up to the manufacturer to preform these tests.
Funneling the air flow into the cylinder head if the job of the intake manifold. Control of the volume of air is left up to the throttle body. The rate of taper for the inlet runners is quite significant. Please take note of the small pinches before the mounting plate. This smaller diameter causes the air entering the cylinder head to accelerate and we all know that this is beneficial because it promotes air turbulence, higher velocity, and in turn more efficient combustion which equals pure adrenalin
MRSP is set for 669.95
Whoever is serious about bringing their 2az-fe to the next level feel free to send a PM. I will help you out with spectacular service and a fair price. People who have dealt with me in the past know that I am open with communication and never over charge.

Thanks for the support!
Dont get me wrong. Extensive tuning along with a FMS will net gains, but pair that with a solid forced induction system like TRD or the Dezod kit and you will pull on the competition.
