So has anyone else bothered to see if your X1 rev-limiter works?

Mine is off a bit but by like 300 or so rpms. I am havin a problem when i transition into boost as soon as i get above 0 inhg of vacuum i have a hiccup and then its all smooth. Its smooth before the hiccup also. For some dang reason i cannot get it to go away i just started tonight to tune it again. Been busy figuring out stuff we need to get ready for our baby to come.

I could live with the rev-limiter being off by 300 rpm but not 2000+ rpm. As for the hiccup, all I can suggest is to look for any big jumps in the AFR or InjAdj tables and try to taper them out more. I'd try to shoot for no more than 2.5% fuel or .5 AFR between any 2 adjacent cells.

Congrats on the baby!

yeah ive been hittin this tune up forever my tables are pretty smooth. The crash thing you are talkin bout mine used to do that what i do is have program up with tune plug into car then turn key on then when shutting down first turn off program then unplug. Havent crashed since i started doing this and i always keep my scanner unplugged until already running the program.

If not AFR or InjAdj, is it possible that our ECU is seeing a knock event and retarding timing? That could cause a momentary hiccup. You might also look at your guardian settings. Some of mine seemed a bit conservative.

Your X1 crash-prevention steps are basically the same as what I ended up doing. I also found it best to disconnect my scantool in software before shutting down X-tune. It's not hard really but until you know how to prevent those X1 crashes, it can be a major PITA.

Good luck Brother.

Have you tried changing fueltimeFBE or FBI? How about fueldynadj?

If the knock sensor is seeing a ton of res freq then it could be retarding timing. Send me a log of it when you get a moment Bran.
