car looks like a beast. why does it idle so high and do you have any plans to take it to the dragstrip anytime soon?

high idle do to vac leak. it wasn't build for the drag track. it was built purely for road racing (not street racing).

I commend Steve for taking the courage to make a full blown dedicated track car on a SUPER limited budget. He does not have $100K to blow some other teams/shops did/do. He does not have an OE backed program. Steve is just a down to earth normal fella with a hardcore passion for performance. I completely respect him and think he deserves some recognition for what he is doing. He is true grass roots style where all of the pros started from at one point or another. This is exactly why we support his venture.

The least of his concerns should be how his exhaust looks.

Indeed. If Steve gets a better fuel system and spends some time on tuning, he is capable of 550whp as is. Probably even more if he wanted to.

Actually no not true. The exhaust only has to exit behind the front axle. Anything from the front axle back is within the rules.
