I did lol. But I just appreciate good welds. I'm sure it does its job fine and the car is still going to be stupid fast.

These Dunlop Dirrezzas are bald as fvck.

I will post videos as soon as we start tuning the hard boost stuff. We are only doing 10 PSI right now. We have an S1 10 PSI base line from this car on a local Mustang dyno. Will be real interesting to see the curves over-laid and have an idea of boost delivery on the same scale.
I'd like to see that over-laid graph. This kit is so freakin' sweet (Peter Griffin Voice)

I do too. Gary did ok on the MIG welds, but fitment was perfect for that muffler. It's under the car, so I suppose it's not the biggest deal at all. The engine bay is BLINGED out with tons of pretty welds....manifold, charge pipes, downpipe, dump tube....

Totally understandable. I'm just used to my friends welding.

Small update. Brought the car back in here and re-did some of the air filter design to incorporate a much larger element that had better ground clearance. We wanted to feed that 30R as much air as possible. Success was completed in a mere 30 minutes.

New filter from K&N:

Specs:
Product Style: Round Tapered Universal Air Filter
Base Outside Diameter: 5.375 in (137 mm)
Flange Inside Diameter: 4 in (102 mm)
Flange Length: 0.625 in (16 mm)
Flange Type: Centered
Height: 7.5 in (191 mm)

Older filter:

Cone Diameter - 5" O.D.
Inlet Diameter - 4" I.D.
Filter Height - 3-5/8"
Overall Height (including inlet neck) - 4-1/4"

The new filter allows for better ground clearance, better filtration, more surface area of air pull, washable/reusable and easy serviceability. Mission accomplished.

Update:

Took the car out to begin boost tuning since the clutch is now fully broken in with over 750 miles on it. We began with a single third gear pull to have the car DIE immediately after the pull flat on it's face. The car refuse to crank over and when it did finally kick over, it did not want to stay running unless you had some throttle on it. We stopped, and I data-logged 3 attempted starts on the ECU with the APR X1. I then looked at the log only to find our MAF signal did not change. It was almost like our MAF was not there at all and only ready 100kpa (atmospheric pressure) during cranking. So, I disconnected the connector to the MAF, waited 30 seconds, plugged it back in and the car fired right up. I got her back to the shop and popped in a new MAF I had here and now she runs TOTALLY different and I need to retune the ENTIRE car another day because the customer ran out of time. More updates to come soon!

Hopefully we can do more this weekend.

Stinks that Dunn Tire Raceway Park is only an 1/8th mile drag track being so close to you guys. Gonna have to trek to Empire Dragway for 1/4 mile racing; unless this car isn't going to see the track at all...

I know Brian. Not sure what the customer wants to do as far as track time (if any)

Update

Met up with customer after hours last night and did some street cruise stuff and got her dialed in nicely. Then, I went ahead and had him start rolling into the throttle. We broke traction in 3rd at 50% throttle at 40mph on Dunlop Direzzas on 17x8.5 with a 245.

We then tried a low RPM roll into full throttle on a thruway on-ramp in 3rd, spun/slipped almost the entire way up to the new redline of 7300 rpms.

Lastly, we did a few 4th gear pulls on the highway. Peak boost of 10 PSI on the Alpha GT3076R w/ a 1.06 A/R turbine and 3" exhaust was around 3800 RPMS. She pulled real smooth and nice all the way to redline. Overall, very pleased thus far. Customer is getting back with me next week for a few hours on the dyno to clean her up and see final results.

Wheel spin = ___. Keeping power to the pavement is where it's at.
