oh it sure does.. that what Jeff said. but the with the boost creep, jeff didn't want to push any further. plus my injectors were almost maxed and it was good enough for now. Till i get something figured out with the creep situation, hopefully soon. We going back up there to get this thing pushed further and put her on some better fuel.. we'll see..

Get a bigger wastegate spring. Boost control works very well on this kit even up to almost 30 PSI. You can't expect a 7 PSI spring to run 21 PSI well.

i wouldnt expect to run that much psi at all on a 7 psi spring. i can only go up to double spring pressure on mine before it wont go any higher.

its a mv-r so yes a 44. i have a lot more air flowing in than out. so 7psi spring at the gate with a electronic boost controller. Even if i did change the spring at the gate it would ramp in there later and i'd still have that massive creep at the end. so we had to limit the engine until the situation is fixed. she had a lot more still left in her. Jeff was baffled with the power out up on this, yet very impressed.. Took no time to tune and set it up. I think we shot the **** longer than actually tuning, cause we were just catching up on ____. But OVERALL really happy. I know what i need to do, to get where i need to be so its going to stay like this for a short while and then back under the knife. i'm just going to go and enjoy this for now. been a long while since i driven my damn car.

so 20-21 psi, on boost cut with 7000 rpm instead of 7800 rpm. 80 something percent duty cycle on a 1000cc and 400 walbro pump, return system. i pulled 565 whp w/ 440 some tq. over all satisfied for now.

First pull with the 7psi spring on the gate ramped out over 17 psi and he let off at 6000rpm. Just on the first pull with no boost control. ?????

Don't forget you are running a 35R at 7 PSI. That's a whole lotta turbo and a lot of boost you're asking a 44mm wastegate to bypass. If you wanted to run only that boost level, you'd probably need a 60mm gate. Put a 13-14 PSI spring in there and she will be happy for sure.

And he wouldn't go any further than 7000 rpms cause it just wanted to keep going. even after the solenoid was working. it regulated it a little bit. but still wanted still was creeping. I'm sure if i weren't efficiently shooving so much air in the freaking engine the creep wouldn't be as bad. i mean with a 7psi spring in and Jeff was just getting the bases down and the damn thing sky rocketed to damn well 17psi and rising. I wasn't expecting that. I was looking for at most up to 11 to 13 psi to creep. and he'd be able to manage the creep once the boost controller was kicking in.

that torque curve is impressive. i love how it's about to fall off then just goes dead flat.

even the spring change still would have been the same out come. just that the gate opens later building more pressure and i still can't exhaust that pressure out efficiently enough so then i'll be creeping still. I would think.

bottom line is either i switch up to a 60mm or twin 44mm.. That's my conclusion. I figured i can get another 44mm on that manifold. but i just don't want to take that coating off. SMH.

If that's the case why doesn't steve's car creep at 25psi?

ONLY if you want to run 7 PSI on a 35R, yes.

Otherwise, if you want a lowest pressure of 13-15 PSI, then your issues will solve themselves with a stiffer spring.

Again Dave, you're missing the premise. If you run MORE boost, less wastegate is needed because your diverting more pressure. If you run LESS boost, more wastegate is needed because you are bypassing more pressure. This premise holds true especially on a large turbo like the 35R you have. The measly 7 PSI spring can't even come close to regulating a 35R at that sized orifice. That's you holding back an elephant on a rampage.
