Default Dezod Motorsports Turbo system information guide

I created this to help answer some questions that people have had about the differences in the kits.

The S1 5 Speed Kit:
**Ideal for Daily driver, Auto-Xr & Mild Drag Racing
**Mid-range, most useable power with crisp throttle response and balance

Our S1 kit is our entry level, broad power band system. It makes GOBS of useable power in every gear, which makes the car fast at any throttle with almost no lag. This is our most popular kit, and loved by many because of the throttle response and balance, which is ideal for the auto crosser or daily commuter. Speaking of power…..let’s get into that!

The 5 speed S1 kit belts out 251whp & 260 wtq @ 8.5 PSI with our catless downpipe and open dump wastegate. Peak torque is displayed at 4000 RPMS for the most useable power and unparalleled mid-range. This kit has been tested, trialed and driven daily on our tC for several months…Street stop-and-go traffic, drag strip, highway driving and such with great success.

Furthermore, at 11 PSI the kit offers some impressive figures to keep the people talking even after you left. With 293wtq and 281whp @ 11 PSI the S1 is ideal for most and is a great all around the city. The appearance is nice enough to take to a car show, then stop at the track on the way home and give many a run for their money. The S1 offers all the bells, whistles and quality some offer as upgrades. Available now through www.dezod.com

The S1 Auto Kit:
This kit has brought some controversy to many and will continue to turn heads as the power delivery is 2nd to none. The auto kit is by far the most comprehensive kit on the market including a full fuel system, engine management, intercooler and a transmission cooler. No other kit on the market offers these standard amenities other than Dezod Motorsports.

Our S1 Auto kits ship with a 5 PSI wastegate spring, which still belts out 227whp when properly tuned. (That is over a 100whp increase on just a mere 5 PSI) We feel this kit will surprise ANY automatic owner and prove to them they can still hang with the big boys on the streets or at the track.

Power delivery because of the gearing is mid-range to top due to the gearing and shifts in the automatic transmission. This kit is now available through www.dezod.com

The T.E.A. Kit:
**Ideal for High Performance Street use, Drag Racing & Road Racing
**Mid-range to Top-end with some lag (breaks traction at 70mph!)

This kit is in development and has been tested by a hand full of select users, and has been associated with power from 4000 RPMS and up. It presents a bit more lag than the S1, but shells out some VERY nice upper mid-range to top end power. This set-up is for those that can do without the throttle response, and just care about that ‘throw you in the seat’ top end power when the pedal is mashed. The T.E.A. kit does not enter boost nearly as much as the S1 kit, but delivers some fine power and works well at the drag strip.

This new system on 10.8 PSI belted out 295whp & 302wtq, which pretty much speaks for itself. The kit also ran 13.3 at the local ¼ mile track with about 200-300lbs of additional weight in the car. Overall, it runs VERY strong and just needs some great gas and more boost!

The T.E.A. turbo was spec’d for higher boosting and built motors but still being streetable. The peak output on this turbo is at approximately 24 PSI, so 10 PSI is just barely breaking the surface. Stay tuned as the release date is October 2006.

Alpha Kit:
**(Drag Racing & Max Power)
**ALL TOP END
The Alpha Kit is the cream of the crop and has all of the potential to make AWESOME power with the cost of some lag. This kit is in development now, and is only meant and intended for track use. With top end only, this kit is not to be reckoned with, and furthermore we strongly recommend a fully built motor.

Stay tuned for exclusive distribution and such in Winter 06-07 at www.dezod.com

Final notes:

On a final note, all of our systems are almost interchangeable. So say you get an S1 and decide to go to the T.E.A., we can sell you just the turbocharger as a drop in unit! It’s that simple. The turbocharger specs are the HUGE differentiation on the power delivery and fashions of each kit.

Custom kits can also be engineered based upon request. We have a vast array of possibilities to explore with you and we are here to help. We will use our years of vast knowledge, expertise, trials and experiences to make you the ideal system. (certain stipulations apply; inquire within)

now how about some xB love?

All we need are some better rods, low comp pistons, and just upgraded internals as well.

If there is demand, we can look into internals being done.

that is the special scionlife pricing
Look at the quality parts that you get for the prices of the kits...well worth every dollar spent

I know it's worth every dollar... which is why the Dezod kit is the only one I'll buy.

Can the average modder install the S1 kit at home in his garage?
Does it require any tuning after install, or is the pretune good enough?

Sweet!
That's good to know.
Now, I don't want to start a battle or anything (or do I ) but I saw a video of the ZPI kit running a 12.191 in the 1/4 mile with 14psi of boost and running on slicks. I believe on stock internals.
All the vids I've seen of your Stage 1 are in the 13s, which are great and very streetable, but I'd like to know what that kit can do when you set up to track it.

Also, after seeing what the manifold looks like with no coating on coppermin18's turbo (ick), I was wondering if you could post pics of the manifold bare and with the different coatings, as well as the bare charge pipes versus the chrome finish.

The S1 boost levels can be upped without a question. You can push it to 14 PSI, throw it on slicks and come close to if not have the same time. That is not a question. The S1 was intended to be an all around kit. The T.E.A. kit on the other hand was geared to be more toward drag than the S1.

With respect to the manifold, this is how it comes from us uncoated:

Jet Hot Blue Looks like this (not a tC mani):

Jet Hot Black:

Jet Hot Silver (not a tC mani) (Silver charge pipes look like this too):

Charge pipes without coating look like everyone's on the site who has our kit (raw form)
